[DENIED] Regarding the Discord pm confirmation

"Recommended" and "Mandatory" is hugely a different words. Seems like it's mandatory because people are getting twc'd because of it.

You might as well make it mandatory, you never know when you're being man in the middled. It's basically dumb saying it's recommended because if someone gets scammed because of a bad pm and it was only 'recommended', they would still get a twc.

but yeah I like and agree with the TWC for bad PM's ,but it doesnt make sense to have the templates make it seem like you dont have to use them....but then ull get punished for not using them...just weird how it is worded

 

GREAT IDEA!! i'd like to know where they used the template to describe the punishments, if there is none, lets have a TWC party.

well a confirmation PM is to confirm youre talking to the right person. so if youre doing a sloppy job with that, youre essentially putting people at risk. most likely anyone asking for a keyword or certain phrase is trying to man in the middle scam. anyone who sends any kind of sloppy PM will get the twc. the template is there to help ensure safe trades. a lot of people have gone through the samething. just learn from it and continue to provide good, safe service.

 

it is recommend, not mandatory. Things that are recommended should have no punishment if not used unless stated otherwise. The user had previous conversations with me, he adds the wrong user (lower capitalization), asks for a verify pm on sythe ( nothing to do with trade yet), than ask later to say 600m miknava ( which they say this is the account ill be trading) , both times i PMED the user i included the FULL conversations. The user was buying the rsn "air" and in my conversation the user (imposter) was buying the name B** , COMPLETELY different names, ESPECIALLY when i copied and pasted conversation TWICE, big difference. Sometimes it's more of using your own precautionary steps or your brain, not my fault i was caught in the middle of this, and now taking punishment from a "recommended" template.

 

Stand in line, I got hit with the same thing.
It should state that's it's mandatory but on the other hand as "trader" of any good, doesn't matter if it's for gold or rsn's, if somebody comes to you requiring confirmation it's always best to give as much info as possible. Always go with the idea that buyers aren't the smartest and you'll never have a problem.

 

So this is their standing. The discord template is NOT mandatory, *BUT IF* someone gets scammed than you’ll be punished.
So you better be a genie.

 

Regardless, any actual trader of Sythe should realise that It's a requirement for all trades. Especially if the person asks for it, although you cannot force someone to do it to get them in the good habit.

I have no sympathy for those that cause loss to people because of their own incompetence with PM Confirmations.

Although that PM is a "guideline" for people to use, you can create your own "PM" template as long as it includes the things listed in the proper PM template.

You will not be TWC'd if a user is not scammed. But it is handled under individual scenario's, although this suggestion is denied, I will discuss this with the team.
