[denied] A step closer to fixing Sythe

Hi guys so this is going to be quite a long post potentially so I want to point out the obvious - If you're a fairy, a baby or a vegan do not even bother to try read and then cry as a response because I really cant be bothered to spend my brain cells reading/replying to you


So first of all. I want to point out the basic needing of RULE EQUALITY... If you the staff are applying warnings to us, in such cases like the one I just received for fucking pointing out something that is misleading to the extent the person now has a scam report on them as well, then you need to allow us to actually report these things... None of this bullshit "oh you're competition" no we're not like you say. That's like comparing my gold sales to @PartyPeteShop and such because you know... "competition"

I am going to point out what @Pikachu mentioned in my recent thread in the violation section

- Note that it is intended for legitimate customer complaints. We need to remember and understand not ALL people use, or know how to use Sythe @Ryguy321 as an example in that sort of scenario of knowing very little about the website as he said himself in a report he had on him just today...

I understand that in some cases it will be that people are reporting others who are "competition" for dumb crap, but in such cases like how I am mentioning you are essentially showing bias (in this case me and Yoshiki do not get along, what a surprise he is the one giving me invalid warning points) and as such are pushing people further and further away from actually wanting to remain on the website, you then piss them off and guess what 99% of them scam quit... Look at @Baod and all the others in recent time, things that could of been handled differently, but due to the poor judgement they were not...

You talk about enforcing the bogus bump rule..

Start actually banning people that interfere in RAS instead of infractions this thread made by @banglehead is still sitting there... whilst I am not going to go into the full extent of that thread, if you feel that "people witch hunting competition" is a thing, why not do something similar to this? Assuming it actually is a valid reason to actually give them a warning or what not. We are seeing a lot of bogus bumping lately, people who do not even offer services and i'm not just talking about @Death as shown in the thread Death

i'm talking people like @Dzeny who is at this point a robot who runs 24/7 without even knowing what to do along side many others and despite this being reported the staff really don't care and is exactly why you get threads such as the one to void/remove all autobumpers as found here - Auto Bumping which all credit to @Grant as he is someone who if i'm not mistaken does also use them, but wants them to stop all together I can appreciate that

Then we have Make Sythe Great Again: Limit threadmaxxing by @PijaVenosa which is another one of those things that could be looked into

It's actually getting tiring now with the fact being all we want is equality... You claim to not be bias and so far the only real moderator I have seen to stick to that word in recent times is @Pirate


Does anyone else wonder what is actually happening to Sythe as of late, if staff are not following the rules they tell us to follow in the way they tell us to and if so, what can we do about it?


I understand and can appreciate that all things take time, an undisclosed amount of time at that*, I mean look at the spam for the current miniranks and such well not it isn't even spam, they legitimately won and would like to show those things off*


Maybe just maybe there should like I requested back quite a while ago a rework of things, including the rule system either with BETTER information regarding rules you are claiming we are breaking, despite there being no valid information to support the claims or you need to completely strip the rules you're randomly throwing at us to begin with.


If this isn't resolved properly and I don't want to say it but we wont have a Sythe in the near future. As it is people are running roughshot over everything with autobumpers, and now bogus bumping and the obvious dumb shit made up reasoning just to throw a warning at someone because you don't like them. Enough is enough, as people keep saying though...

I'm simply highlighting instead of basic crap that isn't even on the actual rules that certain mods are trying to enforce (when its not valid) maybe we should have actual things done that are being requested, and should be requested or even updated properly to the fact people know the rules are there?

If not, and let's say you're doing what is in my eyes false (my warning as mentioned, as there is no actual rule for what I did making it valid) there should be a clear set of information ruling, if not fully scrapped so we can actually monitor things correctly

if I found a friend scamming, would you not want me to report them? I'm guessing the answer is yes, but why should I do that especially if they are "competition" when they can just nuke themselves

 

The mods on this website are bored. I am getting warnings in the spam forum section, that I am trying to make atleast somewhat active again. They do nothing productive and there’s too many of them. Demote some of the ones that are retarded.

 

Idiot mods will spend time looking for Cedricks posts in spam forum to remove rather than dealing with the backlog of scam reports that have been posted for weeks!

The few points I see made looking beyond the rambling:

Auto bumping - Just think about this pragmatically for a moment... this isn't going to get removed. It's working as intended - which is an incentive for people to donate to the $300 threshold to compete for top page listings on advertisement sections. De-incentivizing donating is antithetical to Richard's bottom line.

Bogus Bumping - I agree this is annoying - however this is a consequence you have to accept when autobumping is codified in the rules + something like RSGP's volatility (sellers trying to time the market for less RWT bans / higher trading volume windows). The worst of it is you just move down to the next person in the forum page list to contact.

Crying about mods / "fairly applying rules" - Is this about Yoshiki specifically? The guy handles a majority of reports (both in RAS + forum post reports) and generally comes to relatively sound conclusions. If you have issues with a warning or infraction (which generally don't affect your actual market standing and are just nudging you to stop acting like a little shit), then take it up in the dispute section, or if you have evidence of "corruption", compile a public execution thread like was done with video before he was ousted from the staff team.

"Forums" were popular website formats back in the early 00's - it's a dying medium and many folks have switched over to alternative methods to conduct market business. The "solution" to fix Sythe has little to do with changing around a couple of forum rules or having mods stand down when you switch into your manic degenerate mode.

 

Not about anyone specifically, more the fact the rules are far too vague on that end, and instead of making up rules as you go along like yoshiki did there should be a clear outlining. We also need the other things looked into, which is why I referenced them as well, as too many things are not being looked into and unwritten rules are also being applied, and not just to be but people like @Leptin and @Cedrick etc too

I mean look at the state of the violation section lately, it's clear people are not interested in following things, and instead of focusing on the people having fun and actually following the rules that are listed, they should be spending time on that

 

As others have mentioned, it's difficult to extract a clear suggestion from this thread, and I don't see it heading in a productive direction (apart from trolling) in its current state
