I think the fact that the Maya predicted it, is bullshit. But the fact that something big could happen on that day is very possible. Technically, it's possible on any day, but that day scares me most. All this shit about plate tectonics, polar shifts, galactical alignment (probably spelt that wrong) etc, etc, scares the fuck outta me.

I hope you all do know, the mayans calendar is a cycle this is when the cycle will end, does not mean the world will end just the cycle ends,

Do I believe in the Mayans? Of course I believe in the Mayans, they are a significant chunk in the development of civilization and society. As for 2012 however, I think its utter bull. If anything is going to happen it will be planned or controlled. For example, people will believe that the world is going to "end" on 2012. But terrorist could use that to their advantage and just do something horrible on that day. Like 9/11, which was symbollicaly "911". Float my boat here? Or am i talking in circles? D:

 

There is no way the mayans that lived so long ago could have predicted when the world was going to end.

 

I do not believe that the world will end in 2012. Bible says that tribulations will last 7. Maybe its beginning of the end. But hell obama is president at this rate we wont live to see 2012.

The world could end anyday, there's no given time or date. As one of the people on here said, there might be a big change. Depending on how many people believe in this, it could cause havoc on that date resulting in serious effects to people, economies, religions, etc.
