    Dear Sythe

    Dear Sythe,

It has been years since my last visit. Alas, I am no longer around. However, I needed some advice.

In the past few years of my life I have been plagued with the disease of severe anxiety. Everything I do causes me to be crippled with an overwhelming feeling of anxiety. It takes me so deep I can't do anything or even move sometimes. My personality reflects that of Chris Farley; drugs, insanity, except I have anxiety.

Over the recent two years of my life I have also taken up a new habit in life; cocaine. I have been addicted for several months almost a year now. I was a casual user before, although I have always been having troubles not doing cocaine since the first time I tried it. I try several times a day to stop, I cut my face with class the other day thinking if I bleed too much I won't do cocaine. Now i'm sitting here with a bandaged wound on my face pondering how long it would take for it to heal up.

I can't stand this life anymore, Sythe. Where can I get rid of this? What would you guys recommend doing? I only ask that people who have been in my situation answer, please.

    Yours,

    Mark.

    Dear Sythe

i've never been in this situation but check yourself into a rehab facility, they will be able to help you and won't judge you for what you have done

    Dear Sythe

Tell someone you trust. Go to a doctor with them and get professional advice. No one here is qualified to help you with something this severe. Please, please get professional help.

    Dear Sythe

The first step would be getting some rehab, and see some doctors. Also, do whatever it takes to get off cocaine; that's only going to make things worse.

Be sure to talk to friends & family about your situation, I'm sure they'd do anything to help you out.

    Good luck =\

    Dear Sythe

Anxiety: Doctor/therapy. I don't have time to explain how to cope.

Cocaine on the other hand <3.
    Rehab is a no no.

    No no.

    No no.

Talk to friends and family only AFTER you've been clean a while

    Here we go with this:
I did coke for about 6 months. 1-2 grams a day between me the girl I did it with. She ended up in rehab, and I stopped on my own.

Stopping coke is difficult, don't get me wrong, but it's not too hard. Worst part is the first week.

Honestly, I treated it like cigarettes; I stopped cold turkey, with the fact that if I have another line I'll go back to it burned into my head.

Keep yourself away from everything when you first stop. Don't do anything you usually do on your normal day. My first day, I woke up earlier then normal, still had a drip from doing it the night before. Cleaned my nose out with water on a paper towel, and went for a long run/walk. Came back AFTER my usual wake up time, and took a shower. Changed clothing, walked down to the mall. Cravings set in, started drinking a lot of juice to get vitamins in my body. Came home, laid down in bed for a few hours, wasted the rest of the day away doing things to distract me from getting any more.
Next day the symptoms kicked in. Soreness, nosebleeds, headaches, cravings, and fever. Lay in bed, get up when you have to, play low key music, resist temptation. Day 3 threw 5 is about the same, with less symptoms, just having strong willpower. Day 5 through 7 is simple symptoms, which continue for a while. Headaches though out the day, a bit of soreness(continues for about 2 weeks), and cravings.

To stop coke, you just have to have your mind set, and your first day must be a jump-into-cold-water; like explained above, the first day must be COMPLETELY different from all while on coke. A big changeup to make you not crave it.

    Clean now, and loving it.

    Dear Sythe

I applaud your will-power and strength but you must understand that the average person isn't strong enough to get clean like that. What do you have against rehab?

    Dear Sythe

Rehab is unsuccessful for many people, however you should try it out and see for yourself.
