amazing staff, helped me with spam on my threads.

 

Yeah, this is the feedback thread, not "suck mod ___'s dick for attention" thread.

It doesn't work, everyone does it, just stop.

It's serious feedback from a user whose been around this site for quite some time, and I much prefer written responses to my spam reports, especially if they're incorrect, so that I may follow up or double-check the rules.

 

Dude, "Done, thanks." has, historically, been the norm for every spam report response. Dave's variation of it is really no different from what is usually done.

Writing a personalized response to each report isn't practical at all -- you should know that.

 

Disagreed if you expect a mod to type a specific feedback for each spam report then expect them to take about 4 times the time. I typically just say "thanks for the report" unless it's not a valid report.

 

I tend to do personalized stuff occasionally, but if it's your typical spam report like accusing without proof or excessive bumping I'll usually just give the ole "Handled."

Trust me, after one page of spam reports stabbing yourself in the eye with a pencil is more preferable. It is monotonous and boring, hence your generic responses some of the time.

 

I'd rather "Done, thanks" than a beg for feedback, which obviously brings only a source of positive remarks given the circumstance in which the advert is placed. I know it takes quite awhile, I hate them too, especially on this vB version.

I know I kind of explained this to you but I hope I didn't come of as "my way or the highway." Lol, I spoke to Astrola and he understands why he got the TWC and he knows entirely how to have it removed. Feel free to contact me more if you have any questions about the staff decision though, I don't mind sharing.

Fair enough. It's just that to be completely truthful these reports are tedious as is, and writing a personal message for every report would take ages. However, I can promise to start writing personal messages for the ones that require some type of follow-up or are an incorrect report. I've been doing that for the most part (if you search my reports I'd say about 15% have some type of message where I actually expect the user to read and hopefully respond) but the rest don't really have to be responded to.

Yeah it's honestly just that spam report take time, I hope that's understandable blade. Again I stand by what I said and for reports that require a follow-up or reports that come in that aren't necessary I will happily remind users of the proper rules.

Good point, and I'm gonna make a topic in the staff lounge about this to get a final verdict. I always assumed the proof of attempting to contact was enough to push the pardon forward but it never hurts to clarify.

 

I've noticed Dave's been handling a number of my reports in a very prompt manner. Doing a great job mate
