I believe Jagex now has control of the GE last night just after midnight AGs was +200k up then 10 mins later they went -1.3m. Also nearly everything went down. Also all the prices for the dropping godswords and their hilts went down by exactly the same price! I mean what's the possibility of that ever happening?

 

Some clan dumped those items?

 

well jagex has some control over them so they dont change by too much... but who knows

 

The Grand Exchange is a detailed program which adjusts according to supply and demand. There is no reason for Jagex to interfere.

 

What are the chances of a zgs and it's hilt going down by the exact same amount and this is for every god sword and hilt. Also to counter balance merching clans?

 

If a hilt goes down, so does the GS. The only way that Jagex control GE is making sure you can't, for example, buy a hilt and a blade, stick them together, and make profit, or buy any barrows item that's broken, fix it, and make a profit on it.

There isn't any REASON for Jagex to control GE. They can spawn max cash whenever they want, it's not like they're all trying to merch or something.

 

Jagex have stated before that they can and will manually change the price of items that are being heavily manipulated. Jagex dropped vials from like 200 down to 100 over night.

Having said that I bet it was just dumped...

I believe that they manipulate the prices. The sudden rise and drops have to mean something.

 

The godsword blade is only like 200k. If the GS and the hilt didn't drop the same, you could make too much of a profit buying GS Blade/hilt and just making the GS. Also, of course they have control of the prices, it's their game. >.>

 

True True - Jagex can spawn anything on the game so why would they want to change prices/merch

Well, if the godsword costs less than the hilt, you can buy a GS and dismantle it, sell the pieces and profit HUGELY.

Wouldn't be right.
