CDT leadership changing again

Whatever the hell you want to call it.

I'm asking you to not completely destroy the foundations that we have made as a team and group here. In regards to making things for the community and being active/getting people active the CDT has done its best work in the past few months than since its creations.

I understand your upset about the donation thing. But that was not all of us.

 

Pr team, is all about public relations.
Cdt team all about events etc
Gaming Tech Nerds Leader being Syed, new group.



Would make a lot more sense/and a lot easier for a lot of people.

 

I believe the CDT should be in charge of the game servers and events as well, not sure why we need a new group. We simply needed time to adjust and add new members to help us with the task. Instead, it happened very quickly and quite a few members got upset because it wasn't run by them first. I also think the PR team's job should be done by the CDT, but that's just me.

CDT is about making the current community better and hosting events for it, each CDT member was chosen by a poll which was voted on by everyone. Not some random spam forum troll that got promoted because he was in the right place at the right time who has the authority to do everything his mind wishes.

I'm really sad to see how everything went down last night, we had a good thing going at CDT... If you really want Syed to have some sort of power and to lead your tech group, please, create him a separate team.. Don't mess with the CDT, please.

 

A new group isnt needed, nor is it the answer. Just let the dust settle, and we can see IF there is a need for any amendments. On phone atm, so wont go into much detail. @Sythe

 

Sythe Quarterly was underway right now. Sythe Trivia is set to be launched soon. We also just launched the Pokemon Go Chat which we are still running. We launched a Community Twitch Channel, and we were working on opening it to Community Streamers to build a following. Discussion was in the works for something Olympics related. Also we are possibly launching a Fitness chat as well if there's enough interest. Just look in the CDT forum, there's tons of discussion for it all.

 

@Sythe i agree with there being three groups if there is a demand for the events CDT puts up. your pokemon bot single handedly drew in hundreds of members and made a lot of them stay. we need a group that knows programming and can create servers etc. as of now, there isn't a lot of demand for cdt events. the summer picture competition is barely active and the paper trading competition only has a few active members who are actively participating. if there is a large demand for cdt events, then i guess keep them and make a separate forum for techy stuff which i feel brings a lot more to the website in terms of community. the bot you created made a large pokemon go community that is pretty tight knit at the moment.

 

BL hamsqueeze didn't get to see what you were made of. Grtz @Syed hope you'll make a positive contribution to sith and help the community grow.

probs gonna apply to one of these new groups for the fun rank seen as its the quickest way to get one now days lol

 

Trust me @Sythe everything would be a lot a lot a lot easier having a third group, for tech and gaming. With new members dedicated to expanding gaming related aspect.


Having PR in CDT will be confused, having Tech Group in CDT also is confusing right now. Unless you're expecting 50 members over all.

 

If you would like us to do other stuff, talk to us.. Don't promote random members that have nothing to do with the CDT whatsoever

 

Working co currently (not together) with PR team to help get more active users in the website.

We were finishing updating stickies to help with the xen changeover.

We raised over 6k for a fallen dear friend here on sythe

We created the PokemonGO chat

Looked into making a sythe wikipedia (although this probaly wasnt going to happen)

Posting threads in gen discussion about new events and happenings


This is all literally off the top of my head + what i see in forums ATM. If you want I can grab you a detailed list

 

CDT had years to make the current community better. They can't even handle a raffle.

 

I'd love to see that implemented. It'd be nice having new faces working together. It'd be much easier as we could have events that have to do with our Twitter/facebook or have competition within games of our servers.

Making more than 1 group will split people apart and make things far more complicated than they have to be.

 

You're literally picking a single event from a single person and saying all of the CDT is bad because of it.

 

everything you listed can be done by any average community member which supports Sythe's point. he's asking what skills you guys can do that others can't (like programming).

 

I asked your leader on what you guys have done, and he said he was too busy to provide a list.

Care to shine with some statistics how you improved the community? How exactly are your shit events helping the community? How are they keeping the community active? Bringing in new people?

As for three groups versus one -- both work. It's easy enough to split them into three, but if we were to combine them into one, the key thing for a good transition would be communication. Disposing of one of the two CDT Leaders is not a good way to go about it. If we want CDT to have this tech aspect, of course members liked Syed and Suf should be part of CDT. Just let us know that. We let in Sephiroth because of your recommendation, so just communicate to us and we'll listen
