CDT leadership changing again

So that's why he has to be promoted to CDT leader?.......

 

raising 6k can be done by anybody who creates the thread, creating a pokemon go chat can be done by anybody etc. I don't necessarily think that anybody is a good fit until we see actual qualifications. Literally all the things Tyler listed off can be done by a newcomer who just makes the thread or the skype chat. Sythe is asking for people with ACTUAL skills.

can anybody on CDT make a program that can help the pokemon go bot flourish on Sythe? those are the kinds of skills i think he's looking for.

 

It is complicated right now. Staff out of CDT, vet CDT members leaving. Tech related group thrown into CDT when a lot of CDT have no clue on how to deal with this. CDT overlooking PR is currently good. PR are doing amazing.

PR brings people in.
CDT makes everything accessible, promotes events etc.
Tech Group, create new games, new advancements in the gaming field.


Either that or as TTB said.


Mix the three like this, and you have all of us pulling our hairs out and struggling to cope with the unnecessary irrational change.

so pretty much tech does 90% of the work since tech related things are genuinely going to take up more time/attract new members. two groups is more than enough. merge PR and CDT and then make a tech group if you want your own group that badly. managing a facebook page and twitter page aren't that difficult and making picture contests/karaoke contests/art contests won't take up as much time as tech related things.

 

I agree with Pure Addiction's comment.

You could bring more people into the CDT team that have the vision to direct game servers, reviews, etc. It seems like the current CDT members are willing to alter their course, and build new methods to keep the community active. I've seen it grow into a much bigger presence during the past few months. The Sythe Twitch events, mini-rank contest, the raffle (even though it had issues), graphic events, etc. The people on the team put a lot of effort into expanding events.

I would be interested in contributing to Sythe in a technical/marketing mindset. At the same time, I know the current CDT members are far more active than I am. Hell, I have only seen Syed a few times in the past few months. I see Gracious, Pure Addiction, Sonia, Tyler, and the rest of the crew every single day. They're the community's most committed and active users, with the desire to improve the forum.

In my mind, the current members fit the Community Development Team entirely.

There isn't a reason to create a whole new group. Just bring in new people to expand and grow the forum at a faster pace. Give people different roles, sort of like how Tyler typically runs the graphic events.

 

Congrats @Syed I always knew you could make it far on Sythe.

 

I think a third group dedicated to creating game servers, bots etc would actually bring in a lot of traffic and could be a good idea. No point in destroying the CDT partially although what they do doesn't bring in new members and is never really spectacular (in my opinion). The stuff you guys listed is great and all but what's better, the pokemonGo chat where noone talks about Pokemon or the bot Sythe made that constantly has between 250 and 400 guests viewing (and many registering to ask questions etc).

If you plan on releasing game servers (such as an RSPS) then this third team could do both the technical side of things (updates, new content etc) but also managing the servers (ingame bans, ingame events etc) @Sythe

People shouldn't be caught up with the "Gamer" part, I don't think?

"Game servers, open source projects, new bots, reviews and roundups of existing botting and cheats."

By creating reviews, gathering bots & cheats, and writing "blog" type post to attract people to the website; it will grow the community. Building up content that can bring people to the community and have potential to become viral should be the PR's job, but with a technical background it becomes much easier to develop useful post and grow it with SEO techniques.

What type of application do I send to Syed for a position on this team? I'm interested.
