I wish people would stop berating the USA's sense of nationalism in times of crisis like this when it's only the natural response. It's OUR country, that's why WE'RE disturbed and rallied by the event. It's human nature to band together when your brethren are struck down in hate crimes.

What I find annoying is how everyone goes craaay when something happens in America, but much worse shit that goes on in countries like Afghanistan are disregarded by the general public.

WOW! Apparently suspect 1 is dead and suspect 2 is being chased.

 

The media doesn't report on bombings in Afghanistan because they happen every day, it's a normal occurrence. In America, any time this happens it starts a huge shitstorm. Not saying its bad or good

This has really gotten crazy lately.. first the shootout last night leaving the older brother dead, then today hearing the uncle and lightly following the chase of suspect number 2 has been interesting.

They found him in a boat in someones backyard, and were spying on him with a robot taking it very slowly, for those who didn't know. Will be interesting to see what happens now.

Why would they kill him?? That's so dumb. Of course he's not dead, being alive lets the US finds his reasoning as to to why he bombed the marathon and also to know if anything like this will happen in the future.

They might not have had a choice of being able to take him alive....it was clear he was going to go down guns blazing. He was already injured in the boat so he was unable to fight even if he wanted to, so we are lucky to be able to take him alive. I'm sure the main goal was always to take him alive, but it was nowhere near guaranteed we were going to be able to. I for one thought it would certainly end in his death, whether self-inflicted or forced.

Exactly, this time last night I was listening to the scanners, it definitely at that time seemed to be a situation in they may have had to shoot to kill. I wonder what his condition is like. "serious condition" doesn't tell us much. If they're possible fatal injuries...we might lose our intel opportunity.
