ok so my parents have set a password to where, when i start the computer BEFORE I CAN EVEN GET INTO SAFE MODE OR ANYTHING i need a password to unlock the computer

i can get admin rights if needed

what i need to know is how to change or add an addition password to the BIOS.

BIOS password
Ok

1. Open your computer case.
2. Search for the CMOS battery.
3. Find the jumper closest to the CMOS.
4. There are three pins take it off the pins it is on now and put it on the other two pins.
This pic should help.

5. Start up your computer the password should reset and then put the jumper back where it was originally.

...or you could just remove the CMOS battery itself, wait a minute or two, and put it back in.

As far as I know, they both work. Taking out the CMOS battery is way more simpler and easier to do.

cp_'s method will also work and is much simpler. Just make sure that you leave it out for a couple minutes as he specified because that is necessary for the reset.

Ehh slow way.

Also touch the battery (It's Lithium) with something metal like a screwdriver and it will discharge it.
