Auto Bumping

So you guys both want us to be hall monitors and report abusers, but also want to say that anybody not using an auto bumper is a sweaty hall monitor. Maybe mocking the active users who arent botting their posts isnt the best idea here if you want to keep the site alive.

 

If nobody is reporting it there is a reason.

 

Why would I go out of my way to piss off other vendors by regularly asking for accounts I do not intend to purchase. I will only ruin potential business relationships. Customers dont use the site enough to even know how to report most of the time, and/or they just dont feel like it and move on to another thread. If nobody is available after 5,6,7 attempts they leave the website.

New/inexperienced users of the website will, like me, expect staff to be the ones ensuring the website is functioning properly, with active members bumping their threads. This post, like the ones before it, is feedback for you to consider. As staff if you choose to ignore it because you think you know better thats your call.

Bad sellers cost me business if they end up causing customers to stop using sythe due to unresponsive bot bumping.

 

Not sure why you're grouping us together here. Again, as a reminder, CDT is not staff nor do they have any of the same duties, responsibilities, or even interact. The issue I'm having is there are people headhunting for inactivity. I think it should only be brought to attention by the legitimate customers wanting to trade. If it's not an issue to who we're serving, then there's no issue other than little shops trying to bring down bigger shops in hopes to slime their way to a bigger piece of the cake.

Pretty good way to put it. The only guys I'm seeing for it are the lazy ones that leave it auto-bump and not active. or auto bump and not have whatever they're selling in stock. because they can just leave the ticket open and try to find stock. honestly as users / re-sellers it shouldn't be our job to police the forums isn't that mods an admin jobs? if not what is the point of having mods just for reports? seems useless you're a mod on the forums you have jobs to do, would say 90% of the mods just get it to flex the rank on selling. the only mod i seen not like this is wortel. actually did a good job on this forum while the rest of the mods just meh whatever.

 

Sure, you guys are just mods to flex rank for selling to make you look more trusted while the real ones gotta grind I gotchu bud. cause at that point what's the point of having 10-20-30 mods none? lol, might as well just have 1-5, that are active around the time zones yet we got a bunch of mods that only get them ranked for "selling gold" selling accounts" cause it makes them look more "trusted" when fact it not the case
edit: i don't wanna go back and forth and go off topic though but its the truth. wortel was the only MOD that actually did well for the forums while the rest just got the status for selling. sorry to ruin your parade mods xD

 

I completely understand your frustration with the OSRS Gold threads. It's disheartening to see people claiming to offer 24/7 services when they're not actively monitoring their trades, and auto bumpers only add to the chaos.

This would be a great idea, Just check people's profiles, They look like there trading but was last seen a month ago. Is this because of discord? looking around and seeing what people say they are all moaning about how inactive the fourms are, Wouldn't this force people to log in and actually be active? I pissing hate discord, Can't sythe just do their own app to act like discord but be looked after by mods and stuff? I'm only trying to buy Zulrah account's ffs and the amount of dodgey people on discord is unreal..

 

Yeah I agree with you now after digging into the rules etc etc, I was just pissed people adding me over and over trying to clearly scam, Uno it's just wasting my time, I even had one guy send me a phaising link or sum shit..

If it's a manual Bump you will have to login and maybe even engage within the community? I've seen profile what clearly are doing a service but ain't logged in for weeks. if there is an Auto-Bump surely it makes login to sythe pointless if you have already got the service threads you need? (Stratch that, The Profile's I saw musta be old account what ain't active and ain't took services down?)

Is it me or is everyone telling me they have no idea what i'm referencing to? In my head it's crystal clear, I'm sorry if what I type don't make sense, May have a bit of dyslexic in that sense.

He wasn’t sure on what you were referring to because you went off topic slightly.

I would suggest following this guide on how to turn off your private messages to avoid receiving messages from potential scammers. Sythe have done a good job at maintaining integrity, unfortunately though some people do still scam.

Going back on topic.. I use the auto bump feature myself now, and find it extremely beneficial as it gives me more time to focus on trading, management and other forms of advertising. The one thing I do disagree with which seems to be the main point of this thread, is that people are using this feature but then when you join their discord, they are inactive and either themselves or staff members are not available which can cause a lot of frustration for a potential customer.

Looking for a resolution in this doesn’t seem possible nor does policing it, yes it can be annoying but eh.. Just move on.

 

I get this now.. user bumps.. you open a ticket then no one picks it up for hours if not days..
