im a grown ass man i aint got the kinda cash to afford one of them $700 game console shits

 

i already own a next gen, its called personal computer master race.

 

Xbox One because I use the Xbox 360, and Im a grown ass man who makes good money.

 

PC pls.

 

I am considering it but I am not sure which to get, PS4 or Xbox 1. Xbox no longer has all those chitty rules and what-not and they have an exclusive that looks very interesting, it's called project spark.

On the other hand PS4 haven't alienated all of their gaming community from the get-go.

Probably just going to wait and see what the majority of my friends end up getting. Apparently MLG and chit like that are moving fro 360 to PS4 since they don't trust microsoft anymore lol.

I am going to buy a PS4 next year I think. When they have been a bit cheaper... Poor student...

 

I really thought about getting the new xbox just because i wanted to keep my OG gamertag haha.

What I have against computers:
- lose couch potato feel
- costs over $9000 to get a computer that can sufficiently play some games as opposed to the relatively smaller cost of a console

 

I have a laptop that I bought quite a few years ago and it works fine. The cost came out to be like $1.2k (active 3-D glassed included) but it is a system that I've been able to use as a PC gaming system and it works perfectly fine with all games so far. Now, for the same price you could get a much better... -much- better desktop, especially since this laptop is now 3 years old. I have a PS3 controller I use for the games, but you can also use an Xbox 360 controller, of course. Also, there are emulators so not only is a portable current-gen console (provided the PC version of things are out -ahem- GTA V =[), but of course a portable PS1, PS2, SNES, DS, bla bla up to Wii. There are also modding and multiplayer communities... and no fees for multiplayer. 3 years with a console membership.. I'll assume like $60 a year raises the price $180... change that to 7 years (how long the PS3 has been out) and you've got an extra $420 added to that cost.

Then again, there are different multiplayer communities for consoles, and you do get games with the PSN subscription and even the Xbox's crappy games =p. I'm a huge fan of portability, and that's my main reason for getting a PC.

Okay lmao I'll stop with my advert for PC games there =p.

Wait, one more thing... I say this as a person who (of course) used to play... okay buy consoles. I have one PS3 game, and one (maybe two?) Xbox 360 games (free games not included). I did buy a lot of Wii games though, oddly enough... which makes me not feel as bad about pirating more -whistles-.

Probably gonna pick up the PS4 myself, I'll probably wait a couple weeks after it's come out though, so I don't have to pay some crazy amount of money they'll cost when initially released.

The only thing bad about it is the lag. I like to play online for free thank you.

 

Yeah I do like that you can have emulators but they're pretty chit since the computers specs aren't fully dedicated to the emulator so you need a computer way better than the machine you are emulating for a smooth performance.

Asides from that I do like that you can mod.

If I were to ever upgrade my computer and game on it seriously here is what I would do:
>Buy a wireless controller
>Buy leads to use TV as external monitor
>Play computer game on TV so it is like a console game with the couch potato feel
>mfw

none of my friends are serious pc gamers either which factors into it: gaming with friends is much better than alone

also you can't do splitscreen etc on a pc

Eh I don't know lol my specs are a GTM 555 GFX card and 2.3 Ghz Quadcore i7 lol... which you can easily top on any desktop.. and with those specs it runs the emulators, except PS2, fine... Dolphin is a wonderful emulator, as is the DS emulator =p.

Wireless controller.. I had tons of them already =p. I like my PS3 because it is blue :nuts:
All you need is an HDMI, which everyone should have tons of lying around... if not I can give you one =p.
I play on the TV constantly lol I move my game to the TV and Skype and stuff on my laptop... I also do that for watching movies and junk =p.

True though... there aren't enough PC gamers that people actually know, lol :'(

Splitscreen.. eh... pretty sure most games don't have that anymore. It's all online multiplayer these days, which I sometimes prefer. Mario Kart Wii + Super Mario Bros. Wii is all the splitscreen I need bahaha... Mario Bros. is fun in multiplayer.
