Anime Newcomer

I have not watched or seen any anime series. I have been told a lot about it from other people. For someone who is interested and a “first timer” what would you recommend watching?

 

I also recommend Attack on Titan and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

Death Note is really good if you're into mystery/thriller.
One Punch Man and My Hero Academia are good if you're into superheroes.

Some anime movies I recommend: Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away.

i think it depends on what you want to watch

let me know if you want action (a lot of fighting), character development over time, romance comedy, regular comedy, isekai (transported into another world, probably an op main character), or some generic trash? I can recommend whatever you want but without a genre of what you really want to watch you're probably wasting your time on dumb stuff you won't enjoy anyways

 

One punch man is a really good starter

 

Y'all are recommending Attack on Titan like it isn't the heaviest fucking Game of Thrones wannabe.

It's definitely good, but god damn is it tedious to follow

My favorites were mentioned pretty much:

• FMA: Brotherhood
• Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Bladeworks
• Ghost in the Shell 1995
• Demon Slayer
• Saiki K is really funny, I enjoyed it a lot and I'm not really one for comedy anime at all
• Neon Genesis Evangelion (I'm being hypocritical because this is just as heavy as Attack on Titan)
