Am I wrong or not? Minor flaw on live chat.

The story is:
Seller comes to me and ask if I wanna buy account and gives me a little overprice. I then say i only have certain amount in btc, and I can't go higher than that. He agrees after a while trying to get more out of me. Then after we agreed he ask me to buy keys on this website I know is trusted here on sythe. I then go to the site, and buy the keys with my btc. I put in my trade link and wait patiently for the trade offer the get there. The seller is a bit impatient and ask when he get the keys, I tell him I'm waiting for them. Then I decide to on the live chat and ask for my keys. I get told the order has already been delivered... I'm like how is this possible?

No harm done, since I trust this Seller. He told me shortly after he got the keys. He agreed to go first anyways, so I already had the item we agreed to trade for the keys. The trade was only 4 keys aswell. But I see this as a flaw, and the live chatter at r2pleasent have a hard time understanding that he made a small mistake here. I was supposed to give him the keys, not them. Otherwise I would have put in his trade link. I just think this can be exploited if anyone knew about the mistake they made here. Thats why I make this thread now, to get some attention on this if I'm right.

I see the quote above as a way to exploit, depending on how often their system "fails". But I don't trust this live chat since he said at the end, he didn't know the actual order id when he asked me to give it.

This wasn't planned at all, and its not faked.

 

Yeah this is a pretty bad flaw in their system, I think the helper was being a bit of an ass trying to rationalise the situation with 1 in a billion, when in this very case it is exactly what happened.

They need to implement a better system to protect purchases and who receives the goods. He's acting like it's your fault, when it's completely theirs.

Unprofessional.

 

If I understand right and we are discussing r2pleasent it seems to me that they may of delivered to the wrong person(they delivered to the customer u were going to deliver to) without you(they basically cut out the middleman).


I can see why r2pleasent did it, if he knew about the trade and then was like eh it saves you time if I just drop them off for you so it was just a faster trade for you then in which case he did you a favor.


As long as your customer ended up with the keys & you ended up with the profit & everyone got paid I dont see it as a flaw so much.


I think its a little strange he didnt just ask "do you want me to just send them directly to your customer" but I dont really see that as a major flaw personally .


However if he completely cut you out of the equation and then took ur customer than thats not a flaw, thats a scum move but I cant tell if you got cut out of the trade completely or not?

 

I think you're missing the point completely. He provided his trade link to receive the keys, someone else popped up in the chat and received the keys. It just so happens that it worked out alright. However, that was not the way it was intended and could be exploited quite easily.

 

the Seller told me he got 4 keys, and I couldn't believe that actually happened. So I went in the live chat knowing that they might just have given the keys to the "wrong" guy.

Sharky did he ask who the person recieving them was?

If not then yes that is a major flaw lol, If I bought 100 keys then had my friend pick them up at r2pleasent instead of me than r2pleasent just lost 100 keys & has a scam report against him.

Yet r2pleasent is a known good trader so I assume I'm missing something here or he would have issues all the time?

Yes that's a flaw, a major one.

 

I don't think it's a major flaw. I didn't feel cheated in the beginning, but the longer i go in the chat, the wierder it gets. Its like he can't admit they made a small mistake here. He completely lays the fault on me, as it wasn't. Thats very unpro. I more disappointed about that than they gave 4 keys to the "wrong" guy without proof. I understand that they don't get a lot of btc payments, and he ask for the exact amount of keys as in the order. It's just annoys me, and this live chatter should learn to listen to the customer even though you made a minor mistake. I had my own site, and I think I know how it's like sitting on that side. I have been sitting on the live chat/skype/email/steam chat for quite a few times delivering orders to customers on my own site. So I kinda get why he delivered this order without me, but I felt like he treated me wrong, and possible lost me as a customer on that site.

 

Uh, not confirming what customer bought the items and then delivering without confirming isnt a minor flaw, thats like a cardinal sin lol.

I hope for their own sake, they would double check if it was 400 keys. I think this happened cuz of the small amount. It is a flaw, just not a major one, yet..

I love how he said the guy had the order ID and then he said he didn't. LMFAO.

He was correct about one thing though. The chances of 2 people buying the same thing at the same time with Bitcoin are almost 0. You shouldn't be telling others what and where you're ordering with Bitcoin because there is no way to tie it to you. They can very well pick up your order as they did this time. If they said, "Oh, that's my other account.", I personally wouldn't even begin to think something is wrong especially with a number like 4 and not 10 or 20 or 100.

 

Thats what I think is a little flaw actually. This happened by random, but it's not that hard to set up as a scammer I think. When I order with BTC I put in my own personal trade link at the order. They simply ignored that aswell. They should stick with that, and not ask for trade link in the live chat to some guy that know about amount of the order and payment method only.

 

Seems like such a dodgy flaw for someone like R2 to be doing lol.

Luckily it all went through man.
