    Why are people selling accounts only liable for recovery's for 3 months. That seems really Whack and abusable to me.

    This sums it up:

    It's simply a protection. Yes, it can be abused, but at a cost of a bad reputation.
    Buyers can get hacked/hijacked, or even try and abuse the system in an attempt to get a full refund.
    If a buyer wants more than a 3 months warranty, he's free to negotiate, or go somewhere else

    Because a lot of the time they're reselling the accounts they bought from other people which could be recovered any time and they dont want to be liable for that. You could easily find someone to offer life-time warranty if a person is selling his own account.

    Ye I get it now I thought accounts only got locked when original owners recovered it didnt know they could get locked for other reasons.

    Yeah, for example if you were to buy an account from someone and they repeatedly try to recover it. jagex auto locks the account.

    I'd recommend just buying accounts from trusted seller who are the original OO, never had a problem with that in the past *knocks on wood*.

    An original owner can have that rule as well just because they can't be asked to store every single account info they have created for years...
