The idea behind this is good; less war and bloodsheds.
Anyhow, it would be completely impossible to implement. And there have always been weapons. Without guns there would probably just come another weapon.
What do you mean probably? Definitely. Look at Africa; where they can't afford guns they just lop each other's limbs off with machetes.
It's a ridiculous and self-defeating waste of energy to lobby against guns. Gun violence is a symptom not a cause; Banning one drug just increases the potency and use of others.
The cause is simply a lack of morality. We live in a sick society. The sickness is born of illusion. Death and suffering and poverty and war and misery are the prices you pay for your illusions. Your illusions are not free.
While you still believe in god there will still be religious wars.
While you still believe in the state there will still be international wars, nuclear bombs, bioweapons, and intercontinental ballistic missiles.
While you still believe in socialized health care there will still be health care rationing.
While you still believe in public education there will still be 25 yearolds who don't know where their own country is on a map.
Your ideological beliefs fuel the institutions which facilitate these atrocities.
The sequence of causality is: You believe, therefore it happens. Not: It happens, therefore you believe. Wars, socialism, religion all take energy, money, resources, human labour, intelligence. Shut off the valve. Stop believing in and supporting these institutions, and you will find they have no substance at all; The ghost in the machine was the ghost in your head all along.
