A world without guns

Military weaponry is constantly becoming more and more biological. Soon enough, guns will be absolete. Remember the Anthrax scare? where people were putting anthrax in mail and sending them everywhere?

 

Nothing would change in a world without guns. A world without weapons would change the planet a large amount, although there would still not be peace and I do not believe that it is possible to have a world without any sort of weapon.

 

This is a hard one, but i clicked 'No' the world would not be better without guns. But then again it could be, most deaths are caused due a gun, and without guns police could use tazzers to suduce criminals.

But nah in the end the world wouldn't be better without guns.

 

No difference if the world had no guns obviously because before guns people used swords,spears,arrows,knives basically anything that was sharp was a weapon but without weapons would make life hard for butchers,woodsmen etc because weapons are only bad when used wrong because most things can be used as a weapon in some way : )

 

Get rid of all guns, from now on we use staplers!

 

A world without guns would make no difference. Guns aren't the reason for death, the assholes who use them are. A world without idiots with weapons would make a difference.

 

The idea behind this is good; less war and bloodsheds.
Anyhow, it would be completely impossible to implement. And there have always been weapons. Without guns there would probably just come another weapon.

 

Nah, people would be cutting each other with knifes and bashing skulls with baseball bats, which would make the world even more brutal and bloody.

 

Now, are you saying that gun had never existed or that it was illegal to own them?

 

Even without guns there would be something to replace it, there are always weapons, if i didn't have a gun to harm someone and wanted to harm them, and was dedicated to doing it, i would find another weapon to take it's place.

 

There are people who will always find a way to make some sort of wepon of mass destruction or create some way to destroy something or someone.

If there was no guns in this world, then people would use sharp objects and blunt objects. So yes, this world needs guns.

 

If someone wants to kill somebody they will do it regardless if they have a gun or not, of course because guns are available to us that would be the choice of weapon for killing someone, but that doesn't mean people wouldn't kill someone if they didn't have a gun.

I don't see why you say you're surprised that 50% of the people voted no, please explain to me how the world would be better without guns.

If your considering guns as a weapon then it wouldn't make a difference. A rock could be a weapon.

 

Guns are needed. But not for the criminals. Just for the police so they can control the criminals.

But if the criminals have guns, the cops have guns, all will be havoc. So basically, what I'm saying is, guns should be restricted to only police officers.

That would be great if police officers were the only ones who would have guns, but since criminals don't obey the laws all that would do is disarm the population. If I was a criminal, I'd be a hell of a lot more likely to rob somebody if I knew there was no chance they had a gun on them.
