Yeah but there getting better about that. Wine and xwine have advanced alot. I even have it installed to look at my windows drive and mount the file system there so i can almost emulate windows perfect. Biggest problem so far ive found are games that use third party software for security. Game guard is giving me some problems but meh it will get there someday.

I too, have used OpenSuSe 10.2, I burnt it on to a DVD.

Let me correct you. You have NO good Flash production software on Linux. Wine cannot be used to open anything past Flash MX. That's ancient. You do NOT have Photoshop on Linux. It doesn't work for an average user.

You do NOT have Dreamweaver, or any too good software. I know there are a few good music players like AmaroK, XMMS, etc., as well as K3b (cd burning Software).

What were you saying about doing everything you could on Windows again?

ALL LIES! Yea it's all bullshit I tell you, Firefox pwns IE no matter how much deranged MS junkies try to defend it.

edit: Might as well refute your arguments, at least for my computer.

1.IE takes around 10 seconds to start up on my computer, and tends to freeze up everything else for a few seconds while it does.
Firefox on the other hand, takes around 5.

    2. System Requirements mean nothing as far as which browser is better. In general IE takes up more RAM space than Firefox does on my computer, and I could care less about hard drive space.

    3. Who uses any of those shitty extensions? I use the good ones like adblock and stumbleupon.

You can give all the statistics you want, firefox runs MUCH faster for me than IE, and I don't get shit downloading itself onto my computer.

You know what? Screw IE. Some search bar got installed on to it and now it's fucked up my homepage.

    Linux still sucks balls.

Linux does not handle it better. Linux handles it using Wine/x which is not native Windows. An application runs faster on the NATIVE system it was designed for.

There's no reason for all you idiots to say Windows sucks.

    A Few MISCONCEPTIONS about Firefox

Reality - Internet Explorer's security SUCKS. Example -- DONT CLICK IT IF YOU USE IE LOL

Firefox starts normal for me. I too use an ordinary computer as well as a gaming computer. I have two computers, both start firefox instantly. Firefox loads pages faster than IE for me and anyone else I know.

sheesh, so what if your computer is weird?

EDIT: Linux handles ANYTHING better. Have you seen how shitty Windows OpenGL management is? Gosh!

EDIT2: WINE isn't the best. I have Photoshop CS2 installed using Crossover Office. My games use Cedega. CXoffice has a shitload of programs you can install, including steam and quicktime/itunes.

EDIT3: Windows DOES suck. Windows Vista slows your computer after about a week to two weeks, and I have a good computer, trust me.
Second of all, I get the blue screen of death on an almost weekly basis using windows.

I don't care really. I use IE but i dont give a shit what im using. If it lets you browse the internet its good. Like 10 seconds is going to threaten our lives. Nuff said.

Edit: @Swan Windows is a piece of shit. I don't want to use it although i dont really have anything else.

If you think Vista sucks, don't blame it on Windows. Windows XP is the way to go.
It's too hard to program in Linux. No commercial company supports it and creates applications for it besides Novell and RedHat.
Now, one of you Linux supporters will probably say "No, company XYZ also supports linux!"

There aren't any applications for Linux. If Linux was so good, Valve, etc. would start making products for it, wouldn't they? If the OpenGL rendering was so good, better than Windows, why don't the Big 3D game companies recommend it for playing games, etc?

    A Few MISCONCEPTIONS about Firefox

I think that the good thing about firefox is that it doesn't show ads/lag and the tabbed browsing thing
i know IE has it but firefox has it long time ago while IE only has this since IE 7
which i may think it's a rip off idea
don't flame me,i just stated my opinion

This REALLY made me laugh. After all that defending IE7. Lol.

I'm tri-booting XP, Vista and Linux, and truthfully, so far Vista is the best for me.

It is a rip off idea. Mozilla ripped off Opera, which was the first browser to have Tabbed browsing.Tabbed Browsing has been around a long time. Opera invented Tabbed Browsing back in 1994. Netcaptor offered Tab Browsing in 1997 and other popular browsers such as Maxthon then known as "MYIE2" had this in 2002 way before Firefox officially arrived in 2004. -

    A Few MISCONCEPTIONS about Firefox

The reason most developers aren't making games for Linux yet is because it's not commercially accepted yet. Most people consider it an operative system that is hard to use. It will become commercially in time. The amount of users using Linux is constantly growing. The only reason big companies stay with Windows is because they can reach the most users there.

AMEN! Linux isn't generally known either, because the first thing that the companies that sell computers shove in your face is Windows, because it earns them more money.

    A Few MISCONCEPTIONS about Firefox

There's a mall here called "HyperCity", and 50% of the computers have some sort of Ubuntu installation in them, that's why they're cheap. It's not only Dell, in fact, I did not see any Dell computers there. I saw Acer, etc, with Ubuntu OS on them.

    Linux was released...lets see: 17th September 1991.
    Windows was released: 1985
    Mac: 1984

And, there's less apps for Macs than there are for Windows. But, Mac is 1 year older. So, that means that age has not much to do with games being made for it, etc.
