As per my knowledge, no. This is something that should be controlled and/or tasked from Matthew if it is to be done at all.

 

I don't support since I know people who just donate to get a certain rank and won't bother to donate any more or once a month at that.

 

Although I respect your point-of-view, I feel this suggestion is coming from members who have "donated". It is sometimes difficult to understand their view if you're not part of that group. Thanks

 

I understand I haven't donated and nothing personal against Sega but he has only donated 5 and I don't think even if he decides to donate another say 25 will keep on just going and what's to happen when he and all the other donators hit let's say hmmm 200 dollars? I don't see this as a longlasting thing just maybe a short temporary thing.

Now as for donations, what does it really matter what someone donates? Is there a magic figure that means something more than another? I feel a donation is an act taken by a member to give something. Now yes I do support that many do this for the rank. Some of us can give more than others so I do not feel it is fair to judge a $5 donation to a $500. My view and my support is that this simple act of creating a donor list and maintaining it not only takes another step to support our donors, but also encourages other to support. Will our donations go on to support enhancements? I feel they will after we can show this is something Sythe can rely on. Admins of Sythe I'm sure will balance out what can be supported. We need to support a method that allows our admins to see we can maintain a trend in donations to support future site improvements. Advertisement banners will never meet what donations can support IMO. Can I have a banner? Think my efforts are doing much better this month than Gold4rs? They want on this site?, tell them to compete with the money donations are bringing in. They need us much more than we need them

 

There is a donor list and you can tell that by any person who has a donor rank. I mean unless you want someone to go here:http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=367619 and edit out the part under donators where it says " too many list" and put in each persons name then by all means I support that but this is suggestion that Sega made (again, no offense) is kind of pointless to have

 

I'm tied between this one. There could be hardly any donations that month, thus making it embarrassing. Matthew has to do something else on his list. But I think it's a good thing to check every month.
