No Ads for Donators

Just FYI. They top two ads are just paid by the month and they might get mad if we start letting people get rid of them.

 

The idea of a recurring membership sounds like an idea which can be worked on as that would allow Sythe to generate donation revenue on a much regular basis rather than when individuals choose to donate for a larger avatar/trust etc..

Im sure this could get worked on, But the SuF has a point. If gold4fun and PA see that certain users which are donating more to the site do not view these ads on the site they make turn to other sites to promote their business as a majority of the sythe users are not viewing the ad.

 

A $5 monthly fee per user would more than offset the revenue that the ad is bringing in, so you can still pay the ad creators the same amount as before and just keep the profit from the donation

 

i dont think this is possible since isnt it the site that actually owns the forum layout that puts the ads up in the first place?

Imo ads aren't really an inconvenience at all and removing them seems pointless, no support.

ADS arnt even a pain im used to em dont even notice em.
they just help support sythe.

 

Ads help the site so why wouldnt we want them to be there though?

 

Personally the ads don't bother me at all, but I like the idea of having the option to disable/enable them.

 

I like PK's Idea that seems pretty cool, have a diable button so the people that dont like or want them can turn them off and the ones that dont care or want them can keep them

 

You donate $5 and think you run this place.

Yeah no support. It would look bad to possibly advertisees if we had a feature where the members could block their ads.

 

Well, for very high amount donators then this may be considered if they have donated a large amount to the site, for example $500+. But for $5? No way, the adverts aren't even that annoying.

 

He has a point, unless Wernis is using a lower rank on purpose, he only donated $5 so its not like it would effect him anyways.
