TJ, my issue is not so much the fact that people have taken the mickey out of me, it is the fact that the people who brought this situation on were the adults in charge of my safety, and well being. The mickey taking is not the biggest issue; if a mate had taken the phone and done it, I wouldn't really care, but the people who did this were adults and were supposed to take care of us. That is my problem.

In the US federal courts children have a much higher chance of winning because of current child abuse stories, and not much is tolerated for an adult. UNless they are the parent they have no right to look through your texts because you could have something there just as sensitive as in your mail. Maybe you don't, but others may.

Alright guys I have a solution to this. Since there was no physical damage involved with your situation, (such as they smashed your phone and refused to pay for the damages) there really is no case. The only thing that could have been damaged was your feelings. People get their feelings hurt all the times by others and if that was the case the civil courts would be booked lol. People sometimes do sue over emotional distress but the judge just shakes it off 99% of the time. These adults are obviously assholes and have pathetic lives, be happy and rejoice that you are not them .

Or because i know that no judge or lawyer in their right mind, and one that doesn't want to waste their time would hear this case. This ain't child abuse, the counselor didn't lay a hand on the kid. Comparing this to reading your mail, which is a federal function is idiotic and you know it.

That's a pretty dumb thing for them to do. They were out of line and you could have done something. If an authority is out of line, you can use it to your advantage. You could have said something like give me the phone back or I'll tell my parents/their boss that you were looking and joking about my phone.

They'd give it back to you because you have something you can use to get them in trouble.

Similarly next time one of my teachers says something like, "I don't want any gays in my class." I'm going to walk out and have a free period. Even though I'm not gay.

I was in the scouts for 2 days like 4 years ago, went on a camping trip, it sucked. It rained cats and dogs, and we had to pick up trash on the side of the road in the rain. I left after the first camping day.

I didnt even know that they were allowed to take your phone. To be honest, you should sue them if you got lost or were in an emergency situation, your cell phone would be part of your survival.
