I wouldn't like it, but if you are a boy scout surely you can come up with some sort of revenge for the next trip lolz. It is alot more fun that way. You would be in a legal fight for over a year I bet if you went to court.

I could tell you so many stories about boy scouts where someone got screwed over.

And then they screwed the original guy over of the next campout.

Half the fun of getting revenge is plotting an absurd tactic that actually works to perfection when you carry it out.

 

But you cant really do much about it. But try and get back at them somehow, like a good prank .

 

It's nothing that could require a court case, however, bring this issue up with their superiors and they could very well be fired or at least have some serious internal investigations happening giving them a lot of grief. They breached your privacy as well as stole your phone technically, you can report them to the police for harassment.

If that doesn't work, shove a huge highlighter up your asshole, pull it back out and burn it or get rid of it and claim they raped your asshole while you were there. :laugh:

 

If you want something done, bring the issue up with your parents, most likely they will confront the people doing it and then it won't happen again.

The part of it that can get them in trouble is the part where they showed everyone. Talk to a lawyer about it, they wouldn't in in court.

 

the issue isn't the embarrassment, it is the breach of privacy and abuse of power. These people were under the care of these three adults, and they abused that power for their own amusement.

Anyways, that was a horrible thing for the adults to do and they should have respected your privacy. I don't think you would have much of a case because you have no proof that they did it. They could just deny the whole thing and you would lose. The best thing to do is legally seek revenge on them. =@

Honestly after reading what you wrote i'm not really sure if it would be worth the trouble of creating a lawsuit. You probably wouldn't get much out of it considering they are not rich I bet.

But what they did was wrong and they are assholes. I suggest acting like you don't care and like some other people were proposing and do a nice prank to make a fool out of them =]

You could sue them like mostly everybody has said in the posts above or you could take it like a man and laugh with them.

Hmmm, this is interesting to read. I kind of see some of your points about hardening up, but the issue is the fact that I am getting the piss taken out of me because of the actions of adults who were responsible for me. That is what has annoyed me more than anything.

I'm not sure whether it is really worth getting any sort of official authority involved. The adults in question are already disliked by a lot of other adults within the group because of the way they do things, and its not gonna be long before they all get into a lot of trouble anyway. If evidence is needed, I would contribute but at the moment I don't think its a good idea. I still have to face these people again, and they would just make my life a misery if I reported it.

 

In this situation, I wouldn't say that, this is a serious issue, and a breach of privacy coupled with abuse of power, which is not an issue to be taken lightly and simply forgotten, it benefits nobody and allows them to continue on with such faggotry.

My assumption is he is about 15-17 which means he probably owns the phone himself. The laws in the UK, US and Australia all grant everyone a personal right to privacy, it is not about what he has or has not got to say, the point is that he has rights which were seriously impeded on. What if, for instance, there were some serious issues between he and his family that they were discussing via text? An example could be that a family member died, and these caretakers were to read that aloud and had a good laugh at him for it... although that wasn't what happened, there could have very well have been this situation, which makes your argument void, just because there wasn't doesn't mean there couldn't have been.

This isn't a case of just hardening the fuck up, this is a case of both hardening the fuck up and doing something about it.

A bunch of ADULTS took his phone, and made fun of him. Obviously if they did, they have pathetic lives anyways. It is not like anything was seriously hurt here. Now i would understand if they were talking about drugs or something else illegal, and they found it in the means of that. But come on.

 

If it weren't for the fact that they were caretakers of him, then I'd tell him to harden the fuck up (especially if it just had of been some peers), but they are there to look out for his wellbeing, not humiliate him for their own pleasure.

 

Not like he probably doesn't get made fun of anyways. Everyone gets made fun of for stuff in life, and if the adults do it then they have some growing up to do. Obviously you cannot press a lawsuit on them..for what? A breach of privacy because you got made fun of for a girl? I don't agree with the lawsuits, never said I did, however, the caretaker's superiors should be notified of their conduct and threaten them with further action should they not remedy the issue.

 

TJ, my issue is not so much the fact that people have taken the mickey out of me, it is the fact that the people who brought this situation on were the adults in charge of my safety, and well being. The mickey taking is not the biggest issue; if a mate had taken the phone and done it, I wouldn't really care, but the people who did this were adults and were supposed to take care of us. That is my problem.
