I don't really understand how I can back up what Hitler believed...

Oh right, I stand corrected. I didn't notice you put "Hitler believed:" and assumed that it was what you believed, as you struck me as a Nazi loon, with your avatar and defending Hitler.

 

Easy mistake to make

I'm not really that much of a "nazi loon", as you put it I only defend Hitler when morons put him down as being an idiot, never did any thing good etc.

 

I'm all over the place today, the one defending Hitler was Arya anyway . I did the Weimar unit in history, I know the background too. Hitler was lots of things, but he definitely wasn't an idiot.

 

My heads been pretty messed up lately too

In my opinion, Hitler was on of the smartest people alive, not academically, but by the way he planned things out, when he did them, how he did them, every thing was perfect.... Well, almost every thing

I think I am going to go into town tomorrow and buy a book on Hitler... Any suggestions if you've read one?

 

Mein Kampf is the book for you if you want to understand Hitler.

I disagree about Hitler though, I think he was a very good speaker, but he made loads of blunders. Consider the Munich Putsch. Plus, the main reason he got the Chancellorship was because of von Papen's intrigue. And when he was the dictator a lot of the decision making was done by his underlings, not Hitler himself... He did spend a lot of time in his retreat watching films like Bambi.

They used the Jews to start a war and stop them from looking aggressive? I don't really think that's how it went down. Face is Germany was extremely aggressive during WWII. I believe the Jews were just used as a scapegoat to bring Hitler to fame because of the Jewish leaders actions in WWI (surrender if I'm right). Also, I don't think that Hitler really cared what the rest of the world thought of him, he would simply just try and smash them into submission (which almost worked. ).

 

I wasn't exactly "defending" him. I was simply opposing an argument that someone said, stating that Hitler was an idiot. He wasn't, which was the point I was trying to conquer.

Hitler was a very successful guy. But what he did, renovated most of the world to turn against him.

 

If we wanted to play with numbers, we could in theory speculate that he killed about 205M Jews. How do I get this? Well, in Europe in 1934 there were about 9.3M Jews. By the end of the Holocaust, there were 3M. Now, the number is back up to around 14.2M. Over 60 years, or 3 generations, that's an exponential growth of 134% per generation. Therefore, if there were the 9.3M Jews rather than the 3M Jews, there would have been 200M Jews. Obviously, this is NOT plausible at given carrying capacity and no need for re-population, but if the exponential growth would be the same, which it wouldn't be, there would be over 200M Jews today. Now obviously exponential growth is not reliable in this case, BUT if you were to just consider the facts, obviously the effects of reducing the Jewish population by 66% will NEVER go away. Ever.

On top of this, Hitler set a precedent for tyrants to rise to power through persuasion (propaganda) and human rights infractions, even on Germans. Meh, I'll never forgive him or the Nazis (even though it wasn't their fault).

Now, your claims that Hitler was the smartest man alive, blahbiddyblahbiddyblah, meh - you can say that, and justify your reasoning with the fact that he was able to raise a HUGE set of followers. However, was it really Hitler? Or was Hitler just the man "lucky" enough to be in power in a time of crisis? Germany needed a scapegoat, and Hitler was able to convince the people that the problem was the Jews, as seen in his massive propaganda efforts. And what did it cost Germany? Four Nobel prizes, and maybe even the potential to have a nuclear bomb of their own.
