Haha yeah, I've already managed to look at that situation in the right perspective. It was a pretty unfortunate situation I found myself in, but I guess I should have been more careful I guess, especially since it wasn't my money to lose. Was a good lesson, made me far more cautious. Just really glad that we have those unique discord ID's nowadays.

To compare to this, at least in my situation I got the opportunity to rectify the shit that happened, and I didn't get hit with a 1 month ban straight away. Especially in his case it's even worse, since Sythe is his main source of income. I feel for the guy.

 

However didn’t you actually end up having a DNT for a while because of that situation?

As for Rodman, I’m pretty sure he does work an IRL job as he mentioned here:

I wouldn’t say this is his main form of income however I’d say he makes a significant chunk of money from doing these services.

True, I forgot about that. I got the DNT slapped until that situation was resolved. I think it was like a day or two tops, as I was ready to repay but it took him a while to get him to collect. The DNT got removed pretty fast after I paid the guy out of my pocket, and that was that for the whole ordeal.

About the income part, even though I'm insanely up gambling since July (God bless), and the amounts I'm up right now would take me forever to actually put to the side if I just take the rest of my daytime job at the end of the month into consideration, I think only like 10% or less of my winnings came from Sythe donor dicing. I'm realistic enough to never consider it as an actual (steady) source of income that I'd depend on in any way as you might aswell lose heaps in a row, and there's plenty of other platforms to gamble on so it wouldn't be the biggest deal neither.

So yeah, I think it'd be far more harsh if I were in Rodmans shoes, especially given that his ban reason is super BS aswell to be honest. I'm not involved with the guy in any way, but holy shit, do I empathise.

Rodman has actually disputed his ban by the way but we’ll just have to see what the mods decide. Although plagiarism is in fact a month ban he said he took inspiration from stock photos and his avatar is his own work.

Zuzel got banned for posting proof of a service provider lying (to customers) and got banned for slandering competition, which does not even exist in Sythe rules.

So nothing scam related, so don't worry.
