Did some research sounds like Totalitarianism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaEver heard the phrase: everything for the state and by the state, nothing outside the state
Lmk which ideology you think that's from and if you think it's conducive to an active market and community
or communism in its pure form where the state is just the people so everything is the state and everything you do is for the state (aka for each other)Did some research sounds like Totalitarianism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Actually it's a paraphrased Mussolini quote. It's from fascismor communism in its pure form where the state is just the people so everything is the state and everything you do is for the state (aka for each other)
but regardless sythe staff isn't a government and community development is rather complicated and im pretty sure i know what i'm talking about when it comes to sectionals and you should let me try to prove itActually it's a paraphrased Mussolini quote. It's from fascism
correct, staff are a DRO (dispute resolution organization)but regardless sythe staff isn't a government and community development is rather complicated and im pretty sure i know what i'm talking about when it comes to sectionals and you should let me try to prove it
it is far more than that since they hold far more power than just that. if you want the staff to just be that then give the cdt leaders the ability to directly hand out mini ranks instead of having to ask the staffcorrect, staff are a DRO (dispute resolution organization)
But the relationship between between the DRO and the users has obvious parallels. In particular you can't be effective arbiters for the community if the entire community is within the DRO itself.
Ye that'll fix the value of miniranks.it is far more than that since they hold far more power than just that. if you want the staff to just be that then give the cdt leaders the ability to directly hand out mini ranks instead of having to ask the staff
i'm just saying the idea of the staff you've got aint what we've got right now and we should just do what worksYe that'll fix the value of miniranks.
But seriously we might arrange for certain perms to be pushed down to community groups if that's an issue
Its not what we have now, it's what we're moving towardi'm just saying the idea of the staff you've got aint what we've got right now and we should just do what works

In my mind we'll remove sectionals altogether, have globals and admins and probationary versions of each.
Then we'll have specialization of globals where they focus sort of 80-90% on one particular section.
Since (almost) everything is logged on xenforo the distribution of permissions does not need to be as tight. Giving people more permissions than they prima facie need will help in reducing some bottlenecks.
Further, to push non-DRO stuff out of the staff team I'm keen on continuing to develop community teams and pushing various non-DRO related permissions to them
But honestly I can't sell anything to anyone. Everyone is so far up their own buttholes about the way the things used to be done that already half the staff left because changes are being made at all

Ok lol lets go back to have 95% of the community banned, the remaining 5% on staff and focus on just one dying game. Good fucking idea man."everyone" - you ever think you have your head shoved up your own ass? Or you never wrong fam?
Upward mobility? It's not a 25,000 person retail business. It's a handful of volunteer staff adjudicating disputes about RWT transactions. It sounds like you are just making sectionals except not calling them sectionals. Globals absolutely should be doing more shit with pardons and disputes and mediation and you can easily do that by just having sectionals. and if the community teams don't feel like they are actually valued or have any power or upwards mobility they'll be dead and they'll have 3/4 of their members kicked out like the cdt just did
DNT members can't PM non-DNT membersDid you at least acknowledge their concerns or try to work together to implement the changes you wanted to see? The way you guys handled the DNT change was terrible, I mean you have people with DNT that can PM other members, accounts which were hacked are being unbanned and a rank which looks like a requested security measure.
