But, yeah, in all honesty - I think Punjabi should be pardoned. Maybe his past is irrelevant in this situation, and that's OK. Looking at it in an unbiased way, then, we can see that he broke the rule about "No trolling mods".
Now, we look at all of the other people who should be banned, as they do next to the same thing as Punjabi on a regular basis - but maybe he put it in a more blunt way than others.
As for the "I don't care" part, I really think that that's probably just a poorly worded sentence misconstrued in the heat of the moment, so to speak. Punjabi has, whether you choose to accept it or not, been part of the community for a long time and, to be honest, losing some of the more community-involved users such as him would be a big loss to the site, especially when they've been around for quite a while.
His more recent past shows that he, like the rest of us, engage in light trolling, and just generally poking fun at each other. I think he should be given a second chance. He's not really done that much wrong, in the light of things, and in comparison to other bans. A ban for trolling moderators - temporary at most.
Just give him a week, and then let him back in. I know that Sythe has a massive userbase, however only a minority are active within the community, and even fewer have been around for as long as he has. Sure, you could afford to lose him, and maybe the site wouldn't be hurt too much at all by it. I'm sure some of the less-community based people wouldn't even have known he was here in the first place. But we'd know, and, without wanting to put this across as a threat or something (lol), I'm sure he had friends here among the little trolling circle of the Spam forum and it would definitely alienate some of those against you.
