I'd really enjoy to experience such a thing. As though, I've tired and I'm sure trying to make yourself doesn't work. I read that if you close your eyes and trick your body into thinking you're sleeping, you'll have a lucid dream. But hey, it hasn't worked for me yet.

If you want to remember your dreams better, do NOT get out of bed when you wake up and try to move as little as possible with the dream(s) still in your mind. Keep your Dream Journal close to your bed so you don't have to get out of bed to reach it and such. When you get out of bed it starts your motor neurons up in your brain, so when this happens it 'wipes' your temporary memory of these dreams.

The best way i found to lucid dream was on weekends. I would tire myself out the night before i wanted to LD. I would get a good nights sleep and then wake myself up with an alarm around 7-8AM. Once i had well rested I would wake up record my dream and then lay in bed. I make sure my room is nice and dark and quiet.

    Things that work for me:
Lay on my bed facing straight up, No pillow keep my body completely flat hands by my side palms facing down flat.

Take one deep breath/yawn and close my eyes while facing up. Continue counting with about 3-5 second intervals with deep breaths. Focus myself on the numbers and keep my brain off exterior thoughts. This is important as your mind will try to put thoughts into your mind and lose your focus. As i keep counting around at 30 I begin to fall into a dreamish state. You'll experience vertigo and it's important to focus on the directions and stuff in order to not be 'kicked' out of your dream. Once in the LD I do several checks such as asking myself "Am I dreaming?" or checking the clocks where it appears really fuzzy.

I enjoy looking into the science of dreams, but I've never attempted this. However, sometimes I think that naturally I'm doing it, as I wake up shaking or through shock, when really I've just scored a penalty and the crowds cheered, but it's made me wake up. Strange.

it's fairly easy, fall asleep while thinking.

i prob go through 7 diff dreams a night, and im completly aware of it, tbh i'm going through a 2 year dream that i've been living out at night, like a second life.

idk how it works but i can pretty much do what i want with it/control everything.

    its weird

i get alot of the false awkening aswell.

edit- i never knew what this was until now, i thought every did this but i guess not.

best way i found out how to do it is to just keep thinking of stuff, and eventaully you fall asleep while thinking, but you don't think you are fully asleep but you are.

For years I've had this one dream that always starts out the same. Its white and i'm in free fall. And as i'm falling there are boxes around me falling as well. Its not till about 5 minutes in when i hit ground that I come back to "Reality"
I'm still dreaming but i was able to move about how i thought and do anything imaginable. The last time i was able to do this was when i was 14. I'm currently 18 atm and have been unable. It was pretty amazing while it lasted.

I never remember any dreams I have - I know I dreamt once this year and I can't remember what happened.
I suppose it would take alot of effort to go lucid and I cbf since I don't sleep enough as it is

Lately, I've been dreaming of cooking breakfast for my future wife and surprising her in bed with it. It's quite the pleasant dream therefore I must be altering it in some way, shape, or form to make it reoccur night after night.

    Lucid Dreaming

I dont know if I would want to be able to lucid dream. Id dream up the best scenarios in life and be pissed off when i woke up. Just had a dream about my 'dream girl' the other night and when i woke up i was just like 'figures'. Ive had a few dreams where i can control what happens in it,, but is lucid dreaming being able to plan the dream before u even fall asleep??

I did it once by accident. I was having a regular dream, in which I was at this mcdonalds by my house. I went to use the washroom, and when I went inside, I realized that in real life the washrooms are waaay different, and that it must be a dream. I think I then when around fighting people or something. Did I ever blow that opportunity lol

    Shit was weird lol

    Lucid Dreaming

Is this a form of Lucid dreaming? because at least once a week it happens to me, i'm completely conscious, all i see is black and i feel like i'm falling forever. I only remember being in that state for like 2 minutes max (but i assume i'm actually doing it longer) and i never remember any sort of dream either.

Edit: i should also add in that i'm asleep already i think, not about to fall asleep. As when i wake up its at least 6 hours later from when i went to bed.

It's all about preparing your mind, you cant just have a lucid dream out of the blue (maybe extremely rarely), you have to do Reality checks and dream recall your dreams in your dream journal for a few weeks/months and then you may experience the pleasures of lucidity.
