Kony 2012

Sharing the video won't help "get him". It's drive by activism. Sharing the video is similar to honking as you pass a strike. You aren't really helping

 

I wouldn't expect you to be able to know because you can't even speak proper english. They ARE doing something about it but this has been going on for YEARS already. We don't even know of Kony is alive or dead, his location, or the specifics about what the money is going towards. For all I know the sudden fuss over this has to do with their oil supply.

 

Kony 2012 is a scam. You want to save the children of Africa? Donate your money to real organizations like Red Cross and Free The Children. You want to make a difference? Get your ass on a plane and fly to Africa and help the children yourself.

Just watched it a couple of days ago. Kony has been inactive and in hiding since 2006, while there are leader who are actually in power that are more important than Kony.

 

My ex girlfriend had like 4 of those shirts. I always thing of her when I hear about that stuff.

Kony 2012 IS a scam. You see all these organizations and think.. "what a good cause".. well people derive salaries from them.. the owner of invisible children has a $15 million dollar mansion on a 10,000 sq foot peice of land with like 100 acres.. He drives a new mercedes everytime they make one.. AND his salary is around $25 million/year according to forbes..

Imo, don't send them money, we don't really know that much about them. He claims to not work with the Ugandan Army when their are pictures of him with them holding Assault Rifles etc;

Send your money to red-cross. Kony 2012 bs is already over with.

 

I think it's militias they're funding, rather than the army.

 

I've heard a lot of different views many people think the charity (invisible children) is corrupt and pockets a lot of the money, because only 30% of the money actually goes to stop Kony. They came out and said that yes, only that amount goes to it but in an indirect way. With the rest of the money they make money and sponsor talks all around the country.

There was also a video made by a girl who is from Uganda and she said that Kony hasn't been relevant for 5 years or so, and that he might already be dead.

Others think it is a big scheme to go to Uganda and take there oil that was found in 2010. All we know is that he is bad guy and it can't be that bad to spread it around a little.
