Donations

Suggestion: $10/$15 Donator rank
Benefit: For a small trader (like we have all been back in the day), it's relatively easy to get $5 for donator status, but after that $25 is a very long way (5x$5). Adding in a $10/$15 rank will likely cause more people to upgrade their donation level, and from $10/$15 it's a shorter way to $25 than from 5.

Suggestion #2: A range of icons for every donation rank.
Benefit: A long time ago, somebody in the IRC told me that he wouldn't donate $200 for 'paper partyhats'. It doesn't matter whether it was a joke or not, it still might be true. I, for one, think that the easter eggs don't look too amazing, and if there were 2-3 different icons I could choose from, I would likely donate more. This could possibly work as a perk for $100 and $200 donators?

No. Donations are fine the way they are.
A $10 donation would be useless and unnecessary.
10-25 is basically the same as 5-25.

 

Like I said, the step between $5 and $25 is a bit large for newcomers. I think $10 (or $15, for all I care) donations would rapidly increase donators.

You can do the math yourself:
$5 x 5 = $25
$10 x 2.5 = $25

You're basically dividing the amount to the next step by 2.
