After life?

Everyone, has a different opinion on the matter although there is no logic to show that god exists or that there is an afterlife. As said in an above post Etneral sleep seems like the only logical way.

 

I've pondered if there is/isn't an afterlife. Thinking about it, if there is an afterlife, there comes many variables. In this afterlife, it could be eternal, or momentary. Even if it does become momentary, how long, why, and what comes after that. Then, there is the possibility of it being eternal. I'm not so certain one would want to be 'being' for eternity, though I enjoy being, I don't know if I could be conscious knowing there is no 'end'...

 

I believe in heaven and everything related with that, however no one really knows as none of us have died and then lived to tell someone else what it was like .

 

i havent read all the posts but it looks like someone has mentioned eternal sleep. for now, that is what i am thinking. for now, i think death will be extremely similar to dreamless sleep....except you obviously never wake up.

 

we can only image what will happen once we die that is a question nobody will awnser... death can be a scary thing to think about but just live your life instead of thinking about it all the time there is 1 certain thing in life that is you will die this eternal life and the beyond is something to think about and really is interesting but we cant proove anything myself i think we sleep for ever its like sleeping for ever and how it feels when you die is all a question that will be awnserd once we die!

Same here. It is hard to support that though, since noone has died and came back to tell us.

 

Who knows.

I think the belief in a afterlife gives people "hope", keeps them motivated to do good.

 

I totally agree with tiger. I believe it will be a never ending deep sleep, ofcourse without consciousness.

 

In my opinion, either its like your asleep 24/7 and its just pitch-black, or i think we get reincarnated to either another person or thing, like a rebirth, but we don't remember our past lives.

 

Personally I believe that we just change form, without retaining our pre-existing consciousness. Whether we come back to 'life' as a dog, human, fly, tree, is up to chance.
