Okay.. I got scammed for 900$ [updated]

Why you so worried? You got negative balance, means you almost didn't lose any of your money lol.

Yes of course they would... with a $900 transaction they are going to do everything to ensure they will win the Paypal dispute.

 

Yup, he doesn't lose any money, but he can probably sued/arrested if he doesn't pay it off.

I'd say talk to the lady, and have the authorities find the person who actually stole the paypal. Talk to the lady first and ask if she knew who it was who took the paypal, or if the crook is found.

You should never have been dealing with that much money in a dodgy online business where scamming is prominent to begin with. ESPECIALLY with someone who wasn't an official middle man / mod. This is your own fault

Scamming $900 out of someone is a really big deal and can get you to serious trouble, even if you scam a low amount.

 

Not true, that's the problem with this business. Since what everyone here is doing is all illegal in Jagex's game, it's ALL illegal. Therefore there is no scamming to begin with. The only one being "Scammed"is Jagex.

RL Example: Someone steals a car then sells it to someone but then the guy who sold the car gets his money taken back due to paypal charge back.
Who's the real bad guy here? Exactly. EVERYONE besides the guy who got his car stolen

Yes, but I am talking about scammers in general... most newcomers here in sythe charge back their money themselves. It has nothing to do with Paypal charging it back for credit card purposes or other issues. Scammers are heartless and don't care about people and when it comes to them getting into a real deep hole, they regret everything and that's when they come to reality.

I know this has nothing to do with this situation, but it's a problem that has been ongoing here in sythe. Your not only breaking one rule by selling accounts and rs currency, but you are also breaking a law.

His bank account is attached onto the paypal.

 

If the credit card company is inquiring, it is 100% guaranteed that you will lose. You have no seller protection on Paypal and they can and will take the money from you.

Also, your paypal will probably be permanently limited due to 9 chargebacks.

 

Rofl he won't get arrested for being -900, PayPal will just relentlessly call him and email him. It's all of $900, which may seem like a lot to you, but to PayPal it's couch change.

I was -500 and never paid it off, nothing has happened in the 6 months that have passed.

Although if you used your real name and stuff on the PayPal, I've heard having a negative balance can seriously damage your credit, which is MUCH more important than finding the person who did this.

Yes they can, if he refuses to pay and debt collectors come to his house, he can get in trouble as that's 'stealing' or 'scamming', and it'll also ruin his credit in the future, which is terrible, you don't ever want bad credit.

anyway, it's not very likely to happen, as for you not paying the $500, paypal debt collectors will come to your house and make you pay.

 

And paypal doesn't do sht about it, i got limited one with -500$, never used paypal after... Someone charged back on me -.-

 

In my experience if the message that the person is paying for virtual goods they've already recieved is there, you usually win.
