Whats your crazy Sythe stories?

Reading these stories is honestly quite shocking. Hard to believe RuneScape created something like this. I wonder how many sites are as crazy as this one (if any) based off of other games?

 

Magz I tell my friends this all the time! When my brothers or friends ask why I play such an old game so extensively. When you're a RuneScape player there is just so much to do both inside and outside of the game. Few games exist with such a robust culture / black market / fanbase!

Next crazy (more stupid if anything) story:

Someone posted asking for CV (resume) help on here, I helped him out and tidied his CV up for him: CV help?

About a month later, turned out he was banned for scamming - PositiveSales scammed me.

For whatever retarded reason, he sent me his CV with his full name and mobile number on it. After I saw he was banned, I rang him up and asked him if he was intending to pay back what he scammed, he told me to f off and he was untouchable and hung up.

The real stupid move was he used an email address with a custom website domain name, I looked up the WHOIS and turns out he hadn't bothered to add any WHOIS protection (and his house address was listed on the WHOIS search).

I called him back told him his address and then asked him if he was going to pay back the stuff he scammed. He freaked out and asked me how much to pay me off to leave him alone, but I just said he should pay back what he scammed and that would be the end of the matter. He said he would think about it, I phoned him back a week later and asked him what he was planning (I think it was about 3AM UK time when I phoned him) and he repeated his earlier claims to go f myself and to go and knock on his door instead of phoning him.

I rang his number up again a few days later and the number had been disconnected, I also ran another search on his address and behold the flat was available for rent. I'd unintentionally made someone change their phone number and their place of living all for a fucking stupid RuneScape scam online (no idea what he'd been paid but I doubt it was in the triple digits).

(I should state that I was never planning on actually doxing or harming him in real life. I am very much against doing these actions, the only goal was to scare him and make him man up and pay back what he scammed, but seems that never happened and he just took off.)

If nothing else hopefully the experience has put him off scamming for life.

Does anyone remember @stui years ago? He was a member of the community and was pretty socialable and active in the Spam Forum.

One day he randomly had a fake scam report made against @Hahanerd - [Phat Set] Scam Report on behalf of Stui

Stui was banned shortly after that, what followed was a stream of endless personal attacks against @Sythe himself and also quite a few instances of ban evading (not sure if he scammed or not).

In the end @Sythe got so pissed off with him that he posted his personal details in the spam forum to try and force him to cease his harassment. Stui had also gotten involved with blackhat at the time also.

I don't remember the exact timeline but at some point Stui just stopped and moved on, the last time I spoke to him he was considering joining the Australian military. No idea if he ended up joining or what he is doing now.

I haven't been scammed as of yet, but there is always a first for everything. I have seen some pretty nasty scams.

Wild times

 

There were like three people pretending to be Pres in the same week. They need to get on the same with who they are impersonating. Same week the GFX guy I had quit-scammed and then sent me an AI generated bouquet of flowers.

 

Trolled the shit out of sirpugger when he pretended to be a noob and came here asking questions to expose to market. After 1 hour of asking question he realized I was making most outrageous shit up and didn't include any of it in the video.


Also had one of my accounts recovered by a jagex mod himself for 5k$+ during that shit storm when all rich players got hacked by him.


Could probably write a 500+ page book with shit that happened here lmao
