First off, Lol'd at rope being called a gadget.

1. C, A acog sight on an assault rifle (assumably a .223 which could handle some pretty long distance shots as well) along with that grenade launcher would be very formidable
2. B, For those spray and pray moments
3. A, A chainsaw is nice but no where near as versatile as the bat. Blades require sharpening fairly often with any common use and would be to high maintenance.
4. D, swiss army knife could be used to clean any animals you may kill, open containers of food as well as help maintain your guns a swiss army knife has a plethora of uses.
5. C, Tanks are badass, nuff said

 

If youd rather use it as your primary wep be my guest, or your vehicle if thats better

 

- Assault rifle: I wouldn't even fucking useless what a dumb idea, I'd rather take more crossbow bolts or a second melee weapon. Silence is paramount.
- Crossbow: Weapon of choice, re-usable ammo and silent. Modern crossbows are fairly easy to reload, too.
- Machete: One handed, quick, agile, small. Took this over the katana since the katana would get unbalanced if used with one hand.
- Swiss army knife: If the one I get is anything like the one I have, I'll be set
- Boat: Honestly I'd use a regular bike, but if I had to pick a vehicle it'd be a boat. Zombies can't swim so you'd always have a safe haven to go back to after a run. It'd be my vehicle and my base. Problem is gas - The hummer is best on a gas perspective despite the fact it takes so much, because you can just syphon diesel from trucks and some SUVs. Dirt bike is the worst idea since they're open and noisy as fuck. Can't run over zombies with one either.

 

Sniper Rifle - In a zombie Apocalypse other people are a threat too. If I want to kill another human I want to snipe them before they make it to my shelter, wherever that may be. ( also gives the utility of a scope, free binocular anyone? )

Crossbow - Not only is the ammo reusable but it's silent. Won't attract zombies or humans.

The bat has the most utility IMO. Ex; breaking windows, handles off of locked doors, and aluminum t-ball bats are light.

Swiss army Knife - Once again, most utility out of the selection.

Dirt Bike - Not only do hummers get 8/MPG but roads could be blocked in many areas. The dirt bike also gives you the option to off road. (I live in Utah so the boat wouldn't work)

 

Primary : B , because essentially you get more then one weapon out of it with the grenade launcher attached and it seems to have a decent sight on it so could use it for closer encounters and longer range.

Secondary: B again, because its half and half between a primary and a secondary due to its rate of fire and being more like a submachine and can be fired automatically which would help in a last ditch effort.

Melee : D , Machete would do well for hacking the zombies, but also come in hand for other stuff such as breaking thru wooden obstacles and just randomly amputating something off the annoying person in the zombie survivor group thats always portrayed.

Gadget: im torn between B and D as B would help tremendously in dimly lit areas but then again you dont really wanna trust dimly lit areas plus the light might give you away, D im unsure of as its a multitool so could come in handy for fixing things, maybe abit of first aid and stuff of that nature.

Vechicle: A or C , The sort of 4x4/people carrier car would help as you could drivearound quietly and carry a few people and supplies in it and most people know how to fix car problems that usually occur and know how to drive them. the tank would be alot better armoured but probably cramped inside, no one might know how to drive a tank so your sat in a tank doing nothing and break downs etc would probably see you off as i hihgly doubt anyone in your group knows how to fix one also they arent too descreet

where does one purchase or loot 90% of these items?

 

Shotgun - Common ammunition, may not be the ideal weapon but I will always have something to shoot with. In reality I'd probably use a foldable 9mm rifle and a full sized bow or crossbow.

Silenced Handgun - Common ammunition.

Machete - Since I am not proficient at a katana, picking this seemed like the better choice.

Binoculars - Invaluable for scouting positions.

Bike - Fast, and efficient. But depending on the zombie, moving on foot or a regular bike might be best.

ABDBA. There would be no problem robbing a petrol station for some fuel.
