Any explanation behind this? If you can give me one good reason why someone should bump their thread up with a couple words when it's 5 or 6 spots down from the first thread then I will agree with you. It doesn't matter if it's changed but it can be at least made infractable when it's obvious someone's spamming for post count. To me it reminds me of little kids trying to jump to the front of the line and getting mad when someone is in front of them, when really it doesn't matter. Since so many people complain about spamming you can shut some people up by doing something about this. In semi active parts of Sythe where a thread can be on the first page for up to a week, I don't see any point in bumping your thread every eight hours. Of course it can't be monitored but if it's obvious like in all the threads I've looked at it, it should be infractable. It's annoying for me to the people in my market because I'm not willing to look like an idiot to make my thread more popular.

 

Bumping gives us posts, which gives the site more traffic.
The limit is set to prevent spam, and give all users a chance to have their threads be seen.
