Wondering between the two.

Right now I can buy an Xbox 360, and it will be awhile till I get a new computer (I'm running a really shitty one... can't even play Runescape.)

The way I'm going to buy the Xbox 360 is trade stuff in to EB Games to obtain store credit in which I can use for the Xbox.

What I currently have goes as the following:

2 PS2 Consoles
28 PS2 Games
4 PS2 Controllers
2 PS2 Internet Adapters
1 PS2 Keyboard
1 PS2 DVD Controller

All equals out to over $500 value. I will only trade in about half of that for the Xbox alone, and use the rest for accessories (Halo, woot). BUT... I can either keep this Xbox, which I have wanted to for awhile, or Sell it (Bargain finder?) For $400 or a bit less. I will be able to buy a computer with that + the cash I have currently.

Opinions?

Computer

Halo 3 is overrated imo.
Or you could always buy an xbox then play runescape at a computer cafe`
lol i dont recommend that though.

I've used Runescape as an example of a game in which my computer can't even run. I don't play Runescape.

I actually don't play any games except Counterstrike Source now and then.

Hmmmmm, save your money.
Wait about another year, and buy a 360 with online capabilities.

Or

Buy a fancy ass computer, a graphics card, and other useful shit, and plug your ass into Gary's Mod, CS, WoW, Guild Wars, Etc.

Why would I want to wait another year? That makes no sense.

The 360 I'm buying comes with Online capabilities, come to think of it, all of them do. So really that isn't an issue.

I'm planning to play Warhammer, which isn't supposed to come out for another 4 months.

Buy a new computer/laptop.

If your parents are big spenders, ask for the xbox/games for Christmas. If not, earn another 500.. But get the computer/laptop first. :)

Xbox360 Premium is 400$ + Tax = $425
Then, but 3 month subscribtion card = $20
And the 12 month = $50
Setting the online could cost you more money, depending what your using.
Games are 60$ + Tax = $65

And the list goes on.

Don't be such a smart ass on a topic you don't know about.

The XBox itself comes with Online capabilities, but you need to purchase the subscription in order to use it.
And it isn't much more.

Don't be an asshole.

So, you expect to play Xbox live without a connection?
Good luck with that.

Get a pc and dont go cheap ass on it. Save up to a grand like I did and just get a nice rig.

yeah go with xbox, to get live set up for me it costs like 200$,

network adapter = 100
router = 70
3 months + headset = 30

rofl Live is the biggest waste of money since the invention of Halo xD

Well, Halo was cool when it came out, but the storyline got old before H2 was released lmao.

Buy a PC. I wouldn't trade my PC for any console. I have an N64 and an Xbox original, and I don't play either of them (occasionally N64 cos it Pwnz all except PC). lol. My rig cost me $1600

Buy a laptop, they are currently one of the best technology in the market

Personally, id love a 360. Then again, i have a pretty fast pc.
In your situation, i'd go for the PC. You can use it for more. And you can always play Halo 3 or Xbox 360 at freinds houses. Thats what friendsare for! LOL JK

Computer because it can have sooo many upgrades done to it. If you need more ram, you just get more ram etc. Whereas you can't do that with a console, yeah you can update some parts, but nothing compared to a computer.

Xbox 360 with online, it's A LOT more fun, because you can enjoy games like Halo 3, and actually talk to people via headset.

rofl! ahahahahahahaahaha! ahahahahahahahaha! LOLLOLOLOLOL

you sir, fail. CS: Source has given me more entertainment than any games a console has (including Halo, DMC, and FF :o) because Steam has a massive community matching live, probably better. There is, and always will be, better games for the PC ;) Consider Source, TF2, Portal, Oblivion&Morrowind, etc. Yes some of these games are on consoles but the majority are cut down due to DVD space requirements.

"OMGz j00 can even talk via headset!@!@!@!@!" ROFL. One word: VoIP. Meaning, Teamspeak, Skype, Ventrilo, even MSN voice.

This is funny, provide me with more lesser facts to why he should buy an xbox so I can laugh my ass off :P

BTW: Halo 3 online is Halo 2 with a couple of new weapons and better gfx. Gimme something about it thats fun compared to halo 2.

I missed the point where you can't do that on computer? With computer you're headset isn't wearing into your controller battery. Almost every game on xbox is out on PC since they are both owned by Microsoft.
