Worth buying a laptop Cooler?

hi I recently got my hp beats audio laptop, 15'6 display and noticed it gets hot really quick so im debating on buying a cooler, and does it really make a difference?

so could anyone
link me a good cooler for this specific laptop thanks!

 

Not worth it. Let it be hot. In the bios I believe you can set the fan to run all the time.

 

Nope, won't make a big difference in temp.

 

If you like to have your laptop in your knee it can be nice having an cooler so you don't feel the constant heat on your legs.

Other than that I wouldn't say that it's worth it, but they're fairly cheap so if it doesn't work out you don't lose that much.

 

If you've had the laptop for a very long time then yes i suppose.

 

They arent so expensive to break your bank account.

I would buy one, even if it helps a few % it is worth it in the longrun.

 

gotta be careful a lot of coolers will plug your computer air up and make it even hotter. you gotta find the perfect one. they work when the right one is found

Bought it cuz I was afking like 20 hrs a day and my comp is sorta old lol. I mean I can definitely feel from the outside after a while it stays school, but that doesn't mean its helping too much internally. Its ~15$, so either way its not a bad loss. In addition it works good when i put the laptop on my lap/in bed since it doesnt make everything warm below

I have had a few different ones in the past, they are a nice medium between you and the laptop but as stated above can cause your computer to heat up even more because it runs off of your usb. I haven't used one any time recently but the ones I have had all crapped out withing a month or 2.

Go for quality, not quantity. Just cause you can save a few bucks doesn't mean its the best deal.

 

Defs get one. I needed to get one for my Alienware for when I'm on the road, because once I load up BF4 on it, it nearly blows up without my cooler.

Make sure the one you buy has a fast/powerful fan. The cheaper ones are often really weak and won't noticeably cool the laptop

 

laptop coolers can be very useful depending on the laptop's design. Something like a MacBook or some of the Samsung laptops, among many others, would be useless to have a laptop cooler, as there is nowhere on the bottom (or minimal places on the bottom) for it to pull the air in. In that instance, the fan would do nothing but slightly cool the case perhaps, but nothing more. most laptops pull their air from the bottom though, and if you can force cooler air into those areas, you will notice a difference in temps most particularly under load. I have always run one with my laptop when possible and have noticed that it does a lot more than most people think about. It will help airflow not only to feed the CPU(GPU) radiator with cooler air, but it will also lower temps everywhere else that the air can reach. Monitoring this with HWinfo64 helps confirm that. On my current laptop, I've noticed that at idle the temperatures don't change much from using the cooler...but the temps of my HDD,M-SSD, motherboard, chipset, and nearly everything else that doesn't get much direct airflow is dropped tremendously. Cooler electronics are happier electronics. Furthermore, when I am gaming with it and have the fan set to 100%, load temps drop by about 5-8C on the GPU and about 5C on the CPU with the cooler. If I remove the bottom panel on my laptop(when I know the laptop will stay on my desk for a while) it exposes the entire motherboard and cooling system...this will help temps by another 3-5*C as well.

While I don't think coolers are entirely a must have, I do believe that for the small investment you'll make on one why not buy one if it's feasible for you to use it? they DO help if your laptop is designed in a manner that will benefit from it. if your laptop isn't gonna move much for a while then use it. If you're on the go, simply leave it behind, your laptop will survive.

just make sure you clean up your laptop cooler from all the dust buildup, the air it sucks in and out to your laptop. I haven't done this for 2 years and dust got stuck and it was hard to clean out . cool master pal u1/2/3 is good because you can place where the fans are to where your intakes under your laptop.

 

if youre fan isnt working and isnt cooling down your laptop take it apart and clean it out

They help a lot dont spend too much money on one but when i got mine i noticed a difference!

 

I just bought a air sucker that you put on the the side of your laptop (hot air that goes out) and so far its going pretty well. The item is called Gaming Laptop Cooling Fan made by DreamSky. I bought this on Amazon which had a 4* review. All it really does is suck in hot air out of your laptop and that’s pretty much it.
