The music and beat in Eminem's songs suck. Good rapping, horrible background music and rhythm.

 

That's mainly because he focuses on lyrics. 99% of rap beats are just variations of real artists music.

However, I'll say this:
He is one of the most famous, sought after, and listened to rappers, but certainly not the best, and it doesn't mean he's the best just because lots of people listen to him. The people who listen to him are your typical kids who are trying to look cool, act gangster/thug, and fit in. We even have e-Thugs now. Cassidy would tear him apart, along with Nas, Jay Z, Canibus, and more...
