Meek vs. Drake

In terms of a real hip-hop diss track, I will say "back to back" is alright, but you are ridiculous if you're going to say "charged up" is hot. And Common is irrelevant? When was Common ever irrelevant? And how about the beef he had with CB? What are you talking about? You don't even know what you are talking about. He still won't address the puffy situation or why he basically just let himself get slapped up.

I do believe Drake is a good song-writer. I think that is quite obvious. I also do believe you are riding Drake's two pretty hard right now.

 

I haven't been following much of the beef between the two but the fact Meek's album dropped not too long ago and the extensive nature of this beef tells me it's all for exposure to his album release.

 

Charged up was alright. It was more of Drake waiting for Meek to take the bait. B2B was hot. Everything about it. The beat, the bars, the cover art. Drake won this beef with B2B, and there's a rumour going around that Drake has another one ready. The only way Meek can win this is going straight Ether on him, which won't happen because Meek doesn't have it in him. It doesn't matter if their styles are on two different levels, Meeks a battle rapper, he should've known.

Wanna know was garbage. Straight unintelligible trash. Meek had a whole week to come up with something, and he responds with this. And using Undertakers theme song? Really?

All meek did was attack Drake for the reference tracks (which by itself is garbage, 4 bars max), puffy slapping drake, and one of TI's homies pissing on him.

Again, Meeks a battle rapper. Thats how he made his name. And he responds with something on the same level as charged up? Weak. Weak. I was a fan of Meek before this, but if this is how he'll respond to Charged Up/B2B? Get the fuck out of here. Meek was stupid to even start this. Drake repped him last year at OVO fest, and for meek to do start this is baby shit.

Latest happenings is Meek supposedly dissed Drake at a concert saying "Wayne don't fuck with you" (pretty sure Drake & weezy are very close considering they've done multiple collabs and weezy was bumping back to back yesterday in a club), "tyga don't fuck with you" (tyga doesn't matter), and apparently claimed he was going to give Drake a wedgie. What the fuck is Meek doing lmao.

 

He's on probation. He has to watch everything he says.

 

Doesn't mean he has to forego thought before he speaks. Pretty sure he'd be able to come up with a decent diss without breaking the conditions.

 

This shit isn't beef dude, turn on some Hit em Up', Ether, or Real Mutherfukkin G's. That's some high quality steak right there.

 

As Rap modernizes, we'll see less and less "real beef". Social media has changed how the game goes. Back when rappers didn't have a platform to respond besides diss tracks. Now niggas have IG, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Yeah, but it definitely makes it harder to send any kind of threat out in public. You are on this guy's tip so much, but for what? He's corny. He's always been fake. I barely consider him a rapper or an MC. He's a good song-writer. He can't freestyle. You shouldn't have to have a reference track even exist to show you how to set tones and flows. If you're a real MC, that just comes naturally with talent. And then try to compare yourself to the top greats that actually did come up with and write their own shit? His fan base is a majority of women, which are obviously going to be the ones all over social media praising him, and on his nuts about everything. And to his fans this guy can do no wrong.

Drake could literally leak a sex tape of himself fucking Caitlyn Jenner in the ass and I bet most of his fans would still be on his side.

They're both corny and nobody got bodied period. Talking about Meek's tour not being his doesn't mean shit to him. He's still getting paid either way.

 

Ill start off by saying when i was 14 i used to care about main stream music and its "artists". However over the past 12 years i really cant stand 99% of the music created by Main stream rap artists. I dont know much about Meek but i heard enough of drake to know i hate what lil wayne created. I have no respect for anyone who rides another nigga's jock to make it to the top. When i listen to drakes songs (years ago) all i could hear was lil wayne flow and influence. It all sounds the same in my opinion. Generic white suburbs wanna be gangster trash. I could care less about the beef and even less about niki manaj or w/e her name is. My girl used to be obsessed with her music until we watched a documentary on her and realized what a piece of shit she really is. Nicki manaj and Drake were both created by lil wayne. Lil wayne referenced the fact that drake and nicki manaj both were under appreciative and showed zero love to him for all that he has done. I may not like lil wayne's music anymore but i respect how he went about his business with birdman. He showed love and paid his debt back 10 fold...
