    I plan on getting Windows 7 but am unsure on which copy Is the most appropriate, my choices are:

    WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE OFFICIAL MSDN

    and

    WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE OFFICIAL RTM

    both are available in x86 or x64

    No idea what the differences are and no idea what they do lol if this helps here is my shit.

    Mainboard: Gigabyte EP45-DQ6 - LINK http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ClassValue=Motherboard&ProductID=2831&ProductName=GA-EP45-DQ6

    CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200
    4MB shared L22 2.33 GHz 1333 MHz

    Memory: 2X Kingston 2048MB Max bandwidth PC2-6400 (400MHz)

    Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB

    get official msdn. also on a side not i would recomend buying some faster ram eg. 800mhz as it will help with overall system proformance

    alright can do, what about 64 or 32 bit OS?

    I'ld stick with 32 bit, as it is sometimes hard to find the 64-bit software.

    wrong. you have 4gb of ram. get 64 bit otherwise only around 3gb will be used. ive been using 64 bit operating systems for over 2 years and have only found 1 program that didn't work, and that program is simcity 2000, made in 1993.

    yeah, i made the mistake of downloading windows 7 32 bit and my ram got limited, now downloading 64 bit >.<

    I have Ultimate x86 (RTM), works great, although I only have 1GB of ram on this machine.

    Get the MSDN one. Get x64 (64-bit).
    There's no reason to not use x64 if your computer supports it.

    yeah im limited to 3.5 gig of ram or something out of the 4. so prolly a 64-bit.
