Will Battlescape ever come back?

Here's to hoping it does, but does anyone know why it went down? What happened this time?

I love the game, still play it - but I'm wondering what you guys think!

Palidino is a lazy piece of shit and battlescape will never be as good as it used to. I kept coming back through 10 resets because the server was so good but its turned to shit like it always does.

 

BattleScape will never be what it used to be, it hasn't had any updates since 2011 really, he moves the home around and tweaks a few things which isn't a hard job and involves very little programming skill, if any.

People have lost interest at the constant roll-backs / full resets. It's to risky to spend your time on making a good account and getting all untradeables to be reset 2 weeks later.

Everyone says he's lazy, but he's a good coder, he's just lazy a bit yeah lol. This time on BS tho everything is running smoothly there have not been any resets as of yet.

But what are some fun RSPS to play? I know creativescape used to be so fun any others?

 

I'm guessing your looking for somewhere you can PK with out risking 10 hours of work if you die?

I would just play OSRS. It's basically a private server, get your self an account with 70/70/70 and AFK nightmare zone. Start a small bot farm along side this to fund the account with gold. There are different technique you can use to bypass Jagex knowing how you got the gold from one account to another.

 

I remember playing BattleScape as one of my first RSPS's way back, I got so excited when my bank grew, I was such a nerdy little boy.

 

I played it with a friend from school in like 10-11 I believe was an amazing server... Thieving for the first 10M to afford a DH set.

Battlescape was my favorite rsps, bridding was so smooth. The constant resets is what pissed me off.

 

Yeah this was a great server. It has its ups and downs , I predict it will last a few more years though.

 

It shut down? I played it a few years ago and it was nice. Don't know if it's better than 07 RS necessarily.

 

I played BattleScape since 2008. I always gave it more chances every time there was a reset, but was inevitably let down in a continuous cycle. I thought Palidino would eventually change. For a little while he did - only to go back to his old ways soon after.

BattleScape was a great server, with great players. I never got a chance to get on their staff team though, it's something I'd always wanted to do. It's a shame things have to end.

 

Its still around you know? The games been going for around 4+ months no resets yet

Battlescape was my first private server ever. Probably played it back in 2008 if I remember correctly. Was a pretty fun game, ran well when I last played. Surprised it's still going after all these years, especially as a private server.
