Why is dicing no longer popular?

I hear they are wanting to implement a taxation system on the DA, Also no more items staking, so it would only be GP's.

 

It's pretty easy to get hold of a staking account nowadays even if you own account is bad. Its near enough 50/50 odds which is much better than you ever got if you weren't the host back in the dicing era.

 

People are afraid of third party dicing from what I can tell by what most have mentioned to me being that they believe the odds are fixed or highly in the hosts favor.

This as well, might as well just rent a maxed main or find a friend w/ one.

 

Honestly it should help gold prices and i dont think it will hurt it to much, will kill xing which makes lower level staking almost unbearable and the tax will be as small as 1% or less which will be a great gold sink. Also xer's atm are some of the biggest gold suppliers so eliminate them and prices should rise i'd predict.

 

Yeah true, But i've also heard that they are talking about allowing you to stake at any level, with in duel combat changes so anyone is allowed. Which if is true and implemented, then everyone could stake..

 

To my understanding of the post if you wanted to do whip staking you would need to have at least 70 attack on the account to do it still. Also while they have made it sound like any account I highly doubt it. I expect account requirements of either certain quest or even amount of time played to help avoid rwters from just making brand new accounts and staking and trading gold away. My preference would personally be they require 100 quest points or something along that lines so it will be quite difficult to reach that place for brand new people. If not it will just make rwting easier and probably devalue gold even more.

 

I feel like there's a huge chance that the bots can be manipulated.

Why is dicing not popular anymore?
Because there are many other ways to gamble now, not just dicing like it was in the old days.
Dicing is always in the hosts favors, it's just not worth it.
