I was offered $1000 to share my account with someone. I turned it down. Maybe you're judging other people by your own standards.

It's more attitude with scamming, doesn't matter about post count or vouch's such as myself I'm a great talker and manage to convince people into trading first for me.

But some people would use this to a bad advantage, before a trade of more than $400 make you get to know the person also acquire details such as landlines numbers address ask them where they go to school, and most importantly be honest.

edit: and Verts your sig is a little disturbing.

Someone may have said this already, but when someone's quitting sythe, they will most likely scam no matter what rank they are. This is because quitting sythe gives you the mindset that you can walk away with scams unhurt because you start to look down on the site and care about real life more. Someone's history is very important, and if they are about to quit and are still offering services, I red flag them.

You're not the one to say that - your vouches are fake.

Most of the people of there (mostly staff) were banned for reasons not involved scamming, such as Syed and Daily.

Personally, I make most people go first in a trade, unless I truly trust them. And no, I don't trust all staff members.

I don't trust anything. There really is nothing that can make me trust some random-ass person off of the internet. I don't care what other random people say, or even other moderators may say. There is only about 2-5 people I actually trust on this site.

Section Mods: can scam anytime, they are normal users but they are selected because of their maturity, post quality, etc. So these can't be really trusted without vouches.

Global Mods: they could also scam as their just a step higher than Section Mods. Nevertheless, it would be strange that they scam something small.

Admins: very excepcional if they scam, big or small, as there are very few and they are very selected.

Vouches: number of vouches could be a good way to know if a user is a scammer, but they can get trusted someday and they turn to be a scammer.

Total amount traded: same as vouches, but if a user has done trades with a high amount of cash involved, they are unlike to scam small things. But they can also turn to be a scammer someday.

Join date: if a user joined that month with no vouches, you won't trust them right? Maybe a user created an account back in 2006 and thinks about coming back to Sythe to scam people.

Postcount: only shows the activeness of a user - nothing relationated with trust.

Post/day: makes someone suspicious if they have a very high post/day rate and they joined not long ago.

Donators: quite good way to know if someones legit or not, but it also has excepcions. A $50+ donator is unlike to scam a $40 account; a $5+ donator is unlike to scam a PIN; a $600+ donator is unlike to scam anything. That's why Spyike is probably the most trusted user in our forum.

That's true, when an opportunity comes to scam a lot of money, people become greedy and scam because the lack of consequences - a forum ban.

Spyike isn't the most trusted user in the forum. Anybody can scam. What he could do, due to his his $600 donations would be able to get someone to go first with an all 99 account with, say, 200m and a phat set. He scams it, and makes like $3-4k off of it. $3400 profit! Might take a while, though.

NOTE: I'M USING THIS AS AN EXAMPLE. I DO NOT BELIEVE, IN ANY WAY, THAT SPYIKE HAS ANY INTENTIONS TO SCAM ANYONE, EVER.

So you are trying to sell something, you dont trust anyone and the only way u will sell ur item is the other person going first to you ( a nobody).

Good luck selling your item/product if you are going to be so hard headed.

Well, you listed some ex-staff members who've scammed, congratulations. They are being banned for scamming. As Sythe is a big site which have existed for 5 years the list is pretty long.

But think about how long a list of all the un-trusted/ranked scammers would have been? This says something about the chances of getting scammed.

Nah, I'd rather keep the respect I've earned. I could easily make over a grand if I decided to start buying/selling stuff on Sythe.
