Why eat Pork (e.g. bacon, ribs etc.)?

This is a good point, although, the process of gathering animal protein was different a millennial ago. It was hunted and butchered in small counts, as to now it's just an industry slaughterhouse that does the work for us.
I feel people should know more "behind-the-scenes" facts about what they eat and how it's processed, because then people may think twice about what they put in their mouth. I myself, am a vegetarian and live a happy, healthy life. Yes, it's a personal choice and I'm not forcing anyone to change their opinions... but, the fact of consuming anything that has a heart, and emotions is just very heartbreaking. The animals we eat also can't stop us from what we do to them either. Overall, I believe you don't need to hunger for meat to obtain protein because there are different healthy choices people can make.

Just a point I would like to make concerning protein. It is much less efficient for the human body to break down plant matter for protein. Meat is the best and most efficient source of protein, as well as iron and other vitamins important to growth.
