Why doesn't Sythe ever have in game meet-ups

No, your in game account would not get banned unless you were just dumb.

Just curious, I know it's been joked about and some people have actually suggested it seriously. What do you guys think?

Maybe it's already happened and I just don't know.

Some of us meet in game and play all the time. But.. Some people are either retards / griefers. It really just depends on who you trust. We have had CDT events like LMS where we met up in OSRS but other than that it's common people just stick to their own cliques.

 

Ah I see yeah I personally play with people from Sythe but didn't know if a big meet up somewhere had ever happened. Don't know how many people would show but it would be interesting. I'll have to check in on CDT events more often.

 

I don't think the community is what it was compared to years ago, years ago an RS / WoW meet-up would have been a thing but nowadays I think most people have just moved on from those games (or they just play the game because it pays them money, rather than for pleasure).

 

People are definitely more efficiency minded than before. RuneScape services will probably be at a new height soon but I don't think people are as interested in doing events as they are in continuing to level and earn.

This. In all my years here, I've never seen any sort of large Sythe meetup. Would have been cool, honestly. Nowadays, everyone is too geared towards grinding/money/progress. People don't enjoy RS for what it is, like we used to.

 

Right now I'm enjoying it more than ever especially since I've gotten old and new friends involved into playing and the business aspect of it. I think that the process of being involved in the market and making progress is actually funner than the large scale events, but I may have some bonds giveaway planned later.

sythe used to have a lot of irl meetups but most of the people left here I don't think go outside

 

I would be up for playing OSRS, maybe doing clan wars or something like that.

 

Maybe like some Corp masses or Castle Wars? If they weren’t hosted too often more people might make an effort to show up.

Got @Flights some weed when he stopped by my area a month or two ago. Whippie and hormone from ddyce are gonna be in clearwater florida this week so I'm gonna head out and see them. I know a few others who have chilled with one another or gone to sythe members funerals.

 

Someone would ruin the entire thing by reporting users,

maybe risk of ban could keep ppl away
