i started on this guitar. it was $100 more when i got it but whatever. its amazing to start on. ive only been playing about 7 or 8 months but this guitar stuck thro it all perfectly

lol are you serious? this made me laugh rather hard. you haven't even been playing a year I would hope that you could keep a guitar for that long. I have been playing 12 years, and I have had my squier for about 8 of those years give or take a year.

Squire's are good but they look kinda fake. :( Though, thats probably the guitar I will get. I am probably going to check the pawn shop out for a good used guitar instead of a crappy new guitar. :)

I would suggest a Yamaha something or other. Most Yamaha's are good quality but at the lower end of the price spectrom. Another choice would be Epiphone "Les Paul" which is in the gibson familly and a couple hundred more than a Yamaha. I personally own a Yamaha SA2200 and I havn't had any problems.

... yamaha simply a waste of money,

OK for bignner i recoment a Stratcoaster, or a accoustinc....becase accoustics are harder to learn then electric guitars....

Later when you get better you should a Gibson. Gibsons are the best guitars.
And a good amp would be one made by Line6.

Hope this helps

meh iv played guitar but i sawk its a school programm

you never assume one brand is better than all others. It all depends what music you play. Some brands specialize for one specific type of music. as for amps Marshall destroys anything line 6 has.

i play guitar i suggest an acoustic for starters :D

Our band covering up some songs.
We don't have a lead singer yet.
Hope you enjoy.
(Im the main guitarist, on the left, with white t-shirt of "dickies" incase you wanderd)

I play guitar, I have a takamine which was like 500$ I suggest get that if you want a good guitar for a long time, or get a Yamaha which is reasonably good and cheap at the same time.

I started playing around last November, played acoustic for a couple of months and then went out and bought:

(It's actually darker in person.)

I highly suggest you go to a guitar store and try out the guitars your interested in. Even if you don't know how to play you could strum some strings and kind of see the sound difference.

Just get the squire pack. You'll probably want to upgrade in like a year, but it's better than getting something expensive and then deciding you don't want to play.

I've been playing for a year now. I have a lyon by washburn; it's not that great, but i use it for training, and probably plan on buying a much better one later.

That is exactly what I was trying to point out. It not only is a good beginner guitar, it's also a lot easier to manage\handle than the SG

I play guitar. I love my epiphone SG :) it's alot like a Gibson but much cheaper.

hmm... you're not really specifying what kind of music you want to play. There are different guitars for different styles of play.
