Who else LOVES Prison Break?

The first season season was really good but as the seasons go on it just gets bad. I don't like how they turn the good guys from earlier seasons into the bad guys in later seasons.

What do you mean? I can't think of anyone who turned from good to bad. You mean the other way around? I can't really see how anyone can dislike that.

I watched the entire series on netflix within a month. Got a little boring after the first season but i still love it later on.

I followed watching prison break by watching Lost :p

Potamus
Was my favourite show at the time. First season was great. Second season I still liked for the change of style and the intelligent FBI counter part to Scofield. Everything after that was pretty bad. My season 4 disc didn't work half way through and I haven't even bothered to dl the rest since then

I really didn't expect Michael to die. I was shocked, but not all that upset since it was the last episode anyways. I hated Bellick a lot too when he was a guard. Same with Kellerman when he was working for the company, but he ended up being one of my favorites also. I wish they hadn't gotten rid of him for so long. I cracked up every time Bellick came on screen limping around in his underwear when he was in Sona lol. They should have waited to kill him off. The show wasn't the same without him. At least his death wasn't for nothing though.

Also isn't the movie where Sarah gets locked up and Michael dies? I've never considered it to be a movie. I always figured it was the final episode, since it pretty much closes everything. I don't even remember how the last actual episode ended.

I didn't expect Michael to die either... I just figured after everything he had done, and after he had thrown so much of his life away for the "greater cause", I figured the show would have a happy ending for him and he would live happily ever after. But in the end he dies, and in the process makes sure everybody else lives happily ever after. It was disappointing for me, but I guess that is just the kind of character Michael was... always putting other people's needs & lives before his own.

I laughed pretty hard when you mentioned Bellick limping around in his underwear. I honestly thought that was one of the funniest things in the ENTIRE show, just that constant image of Bellick limping around in his undies, covered in mud and black eyes.

Also - about the "movie", I wasn't quite sure what that was either. I will read into it later to find out exactly what it was, but my guess was that they might have released it later on to satisfy all the fans after the extremely sudden and abrupt ending to the show. For how long & drawn out the show was, I was extremely surprised how fast the show wrapped itself up. I have a feeling that final episode may have been a little treat for the fans.

Because I watched the entire show on Netflix though, the little "movie" at the end just felt like the final episode to me, as I watched it immediately after the previous episode.

Also - I watched that Breakout Kings episode about T-Bag, and I can't think you enough for recommending that to me!! Me and my bros watched it and we all thought it was fantastic. I wouldn't have found out about that if you hadn't pointed me in the direction, so thank you :)

FBI Agent was my favorite. Fucking boss

I LOVE Mahone! He is a fantastic actor and I've actually seen him in a number of movies before, and so I was delighted to see him on Prison Break. He was a great character, and I love the journey of emotions and discovery that his character goes through as the show advances.

I don't think anybody really turns from a good guy into a bad guy during the later things.

The thing with the show is that the "bad guys" - AKA the cons - are actually the "good guys". They might be prisoners who are on the run, but they are risking their lives to fight a greater cause then themselves and save the United States in the process by bringing down the company. I think its interesting how a few of the earlier characters, such as Bellick and Mahone, end up on the other side of the fence (as cons themselves), but by stepping into the shame shoes as Michael and Lincon, they discover that the cons are actually really good people and I think they all feel liberated as they join the fight for their freedom and for the safety of their families and their country.

I mean good to bad to the social media in the show, not to the viewer of the show. For example, who would of ever thought Bellick would end up in jail? And Mahone. Although I guess Mahone never really was a good guy. But I don't like how they reused characters for different roles. They should have just left Bellick as the intense prison guard instead of turning him into a bickering criminal.

Yes they may be portrayed as "good guys" because they are working to take down the company and ultimately save the country, however remember that the majority of the group is doing so ONLY because they were offered their jail term being terminated doing so. The only real innocent people in that group were the nurse, Michael, and his brother. Yes Michael broke the law but only to save his brother where the government failed. All of the rest in the group committed crimes that were unjustified acts. You may even argue that the black guy (forget his name) committed his crime to support his family, but he initially broke a law that led to him having to do that (smuggling something in the army which led to his termination).

I liked Sucre, he hadn't really done anything wrong (except steal a $100 every now and then), but definitely not something worth 5 years in prison...

Favourite characters:
TBAG, Michael, Mahone, and Don Self :D I love when don self does the homeland security trick :D

Greatness Achieved Through Excellence. :D

I loved all characters and seasons but I hate the last Season at the end when Scofield dies he could of not died if he used something to attach the both wire's to open to door and then Sara & Scofield could of went together but things happen Scofield is a legend.

Just finished the first season, interesting show. It managed to hook my attention from the very beginning and I'm curious to see how the second season will play out now that they've escaped prison.

I watched season 1 and 2 back in the day but then I lost interest, and btw I heard Michael died so I didn't even tried to watch the remaining 2 seasons

I've been watching the show since it first aired. I love it. I've watched each season probably 4-5 times. No joke.

They drug it out waaaay too long, 3 seasons and done would have been much better. One of my favorite shows of all time though.

Could not agree more. I loved the first 3 seasons, but it should've stopped there. I watched I think 1 episode of the 4th season, decided it sucked and haven't watched any more.

Anyone who hasn't watch it yet, I advise you to do so.

Very fair point mate. I can understand how the way some of the characters were recycled throughout the show would have pissed people off. I honestly didn't mind it at first - until it got a little out of hand in the 3rd/4th Season. For example, when Don Self completely betrayed the team of cons and you find out his whole "take down the company" thing was BS, I was really upset and pissed off that. I really liked the idea of the ONE GOOD GOVERNMENT character that actually wanted to do the right thing and take down the company. Having the cons operating on their own in the end just wasn't what I pictured/hoped for the ending.

However, other characters like Bellik, I was more than happy to see the transformation in him. I admit, him ending up in prison so suddenly, and then out again was kind of over the top. But right from the beginning I hated Bellik's guts and thought he was such a crook and abusing his position of power. It was very liberating to see him go from that "bad guy" persona, to getting in the shoes of the cons themselves, and in the end becoming a reformed person completely - realizing what was right and what was wrong, and figuring out where his allegiances lay.

For my final point, I agree with what you say about Michael, Sarah, and Lincoln being in a completely different boat as the other cons like Sucre, C-note, Bellik, Mahone etc. in terms of innocence and the reasoning behind their imprisonment in the first place. But the important point is that regardless of whether they are fighting the company to earn their freedom or not, you get to know the characters throughout the course of the show and in the end, you realize that they are ALL very good people, and that they all have their own reasons for being in prison.

In my mind, those characters are SO much different than characters like T-Bag and John Abruzzi the mob boss, who end up in the prison escape plan just because they have something Michael needs, or because they are manipulative little worms (T-bag). We are all humans and we all makes mistakes, often even doing things we know are wrong when we are desperate to do something for the ones we love. I think the show does a good job touching on this point and making you root for the characters right until the very end - because as a viewer, you KNOW that they are all very good people, and not criminals by nature.

Yeah, Season 1 is incredible. If you could only ever watch 1 Season, I would go with that. Season 2 is where the show starts getting a little crazy and some say that it is even the point where it begins to "go downhill," but I think that is nonsense ;)

Season 2 actually kept me completely hooked all the way to the end. Although the name of the show ("Prison Break") doesn't make sense once the plot shifts and they are out of prison, I think that you will find the story & the characters that are introduced once the cons are out of prison and on the run, is fucking fascinating.

It goes more in depth to "the conspiracy," which is probably the most complicated and thick part of the show's plot, as well as the characters back grounds, what landed them in prison and what type of people they are. The suspense is also unbearable at times, as they elude capture over and over again by such a narrow margin.

Fucking great show, just writing this post is making my panties wet for it again :) Hope you enjoy Season 2 mate!

I loved Prison Break, it was the best show ever and i've wished they would make new season.

I admit, I would love to have a new season to watch too :) But I think the show already went far enough, and ended well enough. If they did anything more it would just harm the show rather than help it.
