Which Runescape do you like more? Strict? Or lenient?

When I first started this game about 10 years ago, it was almost considered a sin to be caught botting. You would basically be banned on the spot by Andrew or Paul just because of how 'bad' it was. Then as the game grew(still talking about classic), in about 2003 they really let themselves go or so it seemed. In 2003 when everyone was anticipating the new RS2, the old school pkers were looking at the future of PKing, and literally all the chicken coops were full of people.

Chicken coops and jail guards were the best ways to get XP quickly. You used to be able to get a bot in there for 2 weeks and you would come out with a perfect 40att 1 def 99 str pure. You would have your fun, and get banned for using a runescape pking client.

But there was something different about back then compared to botting now. People used to battle for the lowest PID(player id), in which you had 'catch'(A term which means the ability to kill an npc within 2 tiles of you faster than someone with a higher PID because you are located lower down on the server list). So 1 person would literally own the entire chicken coop.

Nowadays, there is no 'catch' and its basically a 10 person FFA in training areas and its really messing and obvious o_o.

JaGeX needs to 1 of the following:
    1. Ban the bot abusers who are obviously only playing the game to gold farm.
    2. Bring back Catch/PID
    3. ReWork the NPC/Object spawns so that everyone gets their own set of NPCs/Objects.

In a sense, the game as it grows older along with the majority of its fanbase needs to grow with us. People with real lives don't have the time or motivation to 13.000.000 xp into 1/x # of skills for 50.000 XP per hour. It's just so unrealistic.

ok, 32nd hour of non sleeping rant...if this made sense please respond..My head hurts

For me a game is about enjoyment.
2 sides of the story are as follows:

Legit players are unsatisfied with the amount of botters and want to play legit as thats how the game was intended to be played.

Botters are unsatisfied playing as a legit player and have decided to take up botting in order to possibly still have as much fun with the game without actually playing it as much.

Personally I think Jagex doesn't really know what they're doing about the RWT issue. Botting is useless without RWT, 80% of botters bot for RWT, the other 20% bot for playing the game without actually playing.

Without going on into too much detail; If Jagex fixes the RWT problem it will fix the botting problem.
Atm Jagex is doing neither, it's trying to fix the RWT problem by tackling to botting problem; However IMO Jagex doesn't want to fix either of the problems.

    More Botters = more money.
    More Botters = more RWT.
    Tackling RWT = less botters.
    Less botters = less money.

Jagex IMO doesn't want to solve the RWT problem, which is why I prefer a lenient Runescape.
