P.S- I gave Arcus and Bogla Canadian rankings because that's where their based even their chat and employees are most definitely not Canadian(Not judging but its true), I also counted R2pleasent as Chinese(Sorry if this offends anyone, can be changed).

All this information is displayed on their websites or was given by their live chats / Respective owners today, I just compiled a simple list.

(Gold market):
Total number of registered company's operating on Sythe: 21
Total number of websites operating on Sythe: 23

Note: If a country shared the same # of websites, the amount of volume done was considered (I.E since Kaii is Netherlands but Netherland sites are doing more sales(by my estimation) I ranked them higher as a country).

I did the leg work for this, I asked chats, browsed sites, message owners, etc. The above list is the most honest representation I was about to come up with regarding where every site is individually based - I believe everything to be accurate but don't shoot me if something is wrong.

I got bored and thought I'd do something interesting, hope it was at least a little bit interesting to some and sparks some discussion.

It's no surprise to anyone the Chinese have the most sites and most market share in the gold industry, the famous term is "Chinese gold farmer" after all. It truly doesn't seem to matter where a site is located in terms of a consumer choosing to purchase - I gave a pitiful 12% to the 3 remaining American Sites(Piegp, Rsgoldfund & Rsgoldstop) to be frank American sites seem to be dying, at maximum there's 5 of us left, at worst theres 2. Rsgoldstop(not targeting them) is fairly tiny and doesn't do a lot of volume which basically leaves piegp.com and rsgoldfund.com as the last two American gold sites left in the industry that are still what I consider "Actively operational" which is scary, if you would of told me back when I started that with dozens of American sites actively running that I would potentially be in the final 3/ final 2 I would of laughed my ass off, American sites just cant actively be competitive anymore apparently, I don't like talking negative about my own site very often but frankly clearly by the numbers and whats growing and shrinking its blatantly obvious that American company's wont be around in this industry much longer, we just cant be as competeive. when it comes to the real world and our expenses. there is a growing number of Chinese & apparently Canadian websites and a shrinking number of American sites from what I can tell. Not saying this is good or bad for anyone or the industry(obviously I know how it effects me so I'm keeping personal opinion out of this thread).

It's clear that things like [ENGLISH SUPPORT] and [USA] and [ US PAYPAL] are dead now - the industry doesn't seem to care if ur an American speaking English or a Canadian or in the UK or China or anywhere, consumers have stopped caring about where a site or company is out of and started caring more about price and other factors, back when I first joined though the above tags were a huge deal - To say u were USA based with English support and half a dozen payment methods put u towards the top of the chain of upcoming websites.

If it matters to anyone I don't think there will be any American Websites/Company's left on Sythe by 2019, just my personal opinion on that one, Americans will just have to go to different countries company's to purchase, if there's only 2 or 3 left now I highly doubt we'll hold out through 2018, the number has been consistently going down since I first came to Sythe in early 2014 and there's pretty much none of us left anymore. 2018 could very well be the year the last American gold site goes under,I have a feeling Piegp might be the last one standing, once we're gone its going to be impossible for any new USA company's to gain traction as the Chinese grow.

I went 7 pages deep into Sythes threads from Christmas to today(most active time, will show what sites are active) - Some sites do operate off-site but none really worth mentioning.

This thread is not meant for personal gain nor any other manipulation - It's just hard facts I could find and estimate by - Judge and feel how u will about them.

 

As long as I’m getting paid I don’t really care, saying that it’s nice to be able to have a conversation with the live chat agents. But that’s just an added bonus nowadays I guess.

 

Interesting data and interesting read. It's fairly clear bogla/arcus outsource their chat traffic overseas during night hours/during weekends too, from personal observation. Could be wrong. I don't think bogla/arcus are going away any time soon, but it's clear that the workforce in this industry will eventually be 99% outsourced. Here's to seeing how it all plays out

Our business isnt chinese btw. Powerleveling and account sales is in Europe and we are 19 people working. Didnt really upgrade our website(buysellgoldacc.com) because a few of our sales come through it becaue we dont resell as much as we should be. That will change in 2018

it doesn't really matter where you're from, if you know how to manage a business it will do well. Still a helpful list for me since i try to avoid trading with chinese as much as possible because that usually doesn't end well for me

 

Just wondering, why would "usa" and "us paypal" matter when it comes to business. Of course english support would, but even non-american sites offer english.

Jagex monitors high rwt activity countries more which often results in high ban rates (also heard paypal doesn't like chinese transactions)

Paypal dislikes money moving as F&F from weird countries(I.e- china, India, etc because its high risk of money laundering).

USA is important or used to be because Americans like to purchase things that support their home country and not china - they still do but not so much in this industry anymore.

 

Rsgoldbank is from The Netherlands, not the UK.

 

I don't think anyone really cares, as long as they get the best deal possible. As long as I can communicate with the seller / buyer and it's not too much of a hassle, I'm going to go where I can personally either sell my gold for the highest price possible or buy for the cheapest price.

When on Sythe, I'm not using the market so you can feed yourself or support your small business. I'm trying to get myself the best deal, similar to everyone else in the market section.
