What's wrong with the servers?

why is everyone offline according to my pov including myself?

 

Yes, the search system seems to be totally offline, I'm trying to "Find all posts" by myself, and it's definately not working, same error :'(

Thankfully my thread is only 30 pages, so hopefully I can keep it.

Edit(5AM GMT, 9th): Just had a couple of errors I've never seen before:

Gateway Time-out

The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.


Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to sythe.org

Also one about no data from the server.

 

Just spoke with Richard, and got some good news in regards to the servers.

Several hours ago the site was experiencing a LOT of 500 errors/lag, but it seems (as of right now) that the site is running flawlessly. This MAY be due to the upgrade having already taken place. Richard isn't sure whether or not they've been upgraded already, but as of right now, it seems like it may be possible.

It's really weird. I cant get on sythe at all on my Internet (UK, Virgin Broadband)
But when i use hotspot shield it lets me on instantly? Lol?

 

My Sythe wont work at my house so I'm on my friend's laptop.

Nobody has helped me so far so can somebody help me? how much longer do I have to wait?

 

Today was by far the worst day I've experienced in a long time, in regards to to the server problems.

There has been an overwhelming amount of errors and lag throughout the site today, and it has been very frustrating trying to get things done. I've also confirmed the pattern of the evening being a consistently bad time to browse that I suspected recently. Around 5 or 6 PM for me (I am GMT -7) the site gets to the point where I literally cannot do a thing, and it is like this every evening. I just spent 20 minutes trying to post on a scam report, and by the time it went through I had quadruple posted in addition to 2 other moderators posts as well. This is very frustrating

 

Yeah, I am with Zerker. Worst day in a while, and it has been absolutely terrible. Numerous errors at random times, no real rhyme or reason.

 

errm this forum is making me rage but i have witnessed that making a thread when it happens will glitch :\

almond joy, whats new.....? And Id have to agree with Zerker and Nero that today has been the worst day by far especially 45 mins ago before I made this post.

 

Site performance seems to be a lot better today, no double posting or lag when creating a post. Glitched threads seem to have disappeared also.

When it will it be possible for the search and online statuses to to be turned on again?

 

Yesterday, the Sythe mainpage (index) was up, but when I clicked on a Subforum it wouldn't work.

Also, I had maybe 3 or 4 different errors at the same time (on different tabs).

 

For the past hour I haven't received an error message. That's a good sign!

 

Yeah, I encountered this as well.

 

I believe search has been re-enabled.

And yesterday had to have been the worst days with the 500 errors and what not. Today the site is running flawless, not a single error in a couple hours for me.

EDIT: The search is still disabled, but you can view other people's posts/threads now. Few days ago, it would bring up the Maintenance error, so that's fixed.

 

Thanks I will report back on the site performance and if there have been any improvements. I've only been only for a few minutes at the moment, but the site seems to be running great so far.

Seems to actually be WAY better now. Hell, my 7000+ reply thread is loading quickly, for the first time in the past week.
