Batch, make a stick figure that you have to type a letter in and it wil appear on a different tile in the next scene of echo's. I made one once, but never realesed it. Only to my friend.

To tell you the truth; if your asking for the "easiest" language to write a game in your obviously not ready to and will almost gauranteed not succeed in writing a game.

Personally I think writing a game in Java is the worst use of the language. I'd recommend taking a look at C++ which is the most popular choice these days.

But remember to learn C++ without the final goal in mind, if you continue to focus on what your working towards the entire time your going to find your knowledge of the language to be fragmented. It takes many years of programming experience to write a game.

Well, i'll give you 1 tip, learn C++, don't waste time on useless crappy languages... Javascript and flash is fun but not that good.

I would say it depends on the type of game that you'd like to develop. An online text based game I would suggest Perl or PHP, for an online game with a more of a UI I'd suggest a Java Applet, for a Desktop game maybe C# or VB. I wouldn't say any of those are necessarily easy though.

I agree with fahlyn. It depends on the type of game.

    Online game: Flash
Online and extremely lightweight (we're talking PONG): Javascript
Professional Desktop Game (Something like CS:S): C++

Also, like it's been said, keep in mind that learning a programming language should be done for more than just wanting to make a game =P
